Albertsons shredded or chunk cheese are only $1 this week. I stocked up last time they had this deal and just finished off my last 8 oz. (2 cups) shredded mozzarella this past weekend. I plan on stocking up again!
How do you freeze cheese again?
Will Albertson's let you use a coupon on an item you're getting free? (pie deal)
To freeze cheese just make sure it is shredded and then freeze in a zip lock bag. If you freeze a block it becomes crumbly when thawed.
Does anyone know where to find the dunkin donut coffee coupon? thanks very much.
I froze cheddar blocks and it thawed beautifully. I cut a 2 pound into 4 blocks and wrapped each in plastic wrap and then put all four in one zip lock bag. I was surprised how great this worked. Not at all crumbly.
I tried to use 2 coupons today for the BOGO Breyers Ice cream and they wouldn't allow the 2nd ice cream, b/c the item was free. :(

I was just in Albertons here in Medford,Or & The Pies were $6.39 buy one get one Free & the Breyers was $6.39 Buy one get one Free so it actually came to $12.76 for all 4. I did not have any coupons with me at the time. Unless a store coupon comes out tomorrow that gives you the icecream free if you buy one pie then it is more expensive than I thought it would be. The store was already selling the buy one get one free tonight.
The pies were on sale BOGO this week (11/4-11/10). I just happened to see them in the freezer case as I was looking for something to use some doubles on. I had two $1 off any Sara Lee frozen dessert and used both of them along with two doubles and got TWO apple pies for 2.39. You should be able to use two coupons on a BOGO because the store is hosting the sale and the manufacturer is "selling" two pies. Hope this helps.
Just an FYI, I don't know if this still works, but I purchased 3 packages of Fleischmann's yeast strips today to use my doublers. They were $1.29 or $1.39 and I used the .50 coupons from last Sunday. Much to my surprise, three .50 OYNO catalinas printed out! Free yeast plus overage!

There is also a catalina for free butter (I assume that is what instant free butter means) when you buy 5 of the Pillsbury products.
I guess it depends on your checker w/ using the coupon on a free item. The Breyer's was BOGO this week as well as the new sale starting tomorrow. Who wants to bet all the ice cream and pies will be gone by Thursday?
Did the pie deal and got 2 pies and 2 breyers and used 3coupons no problem. $3.39 for all four. It also says no limit, so take all your coupons.
My cashier thumbed through all my coupons before she checked me out. She wouldn't take the 2nd Sara Lee coupon or the Breyer's coupon. I bet it would have gone through, though. I think she took it upon herself to police the coupons.
Marge: She must have b/c I did that trans this morning & she took all 4 coupons! It really just depends on your cashier!
Does anyone shop at the Cully Albertsons? I have had problems there before with couponing, and just shy away from deals like this because of it... any tips or stories feel free to share.
I went to Sunnyside Albertsons today and they took all the coupons for the Sara Lee and Breyers deal.
I had an awesome checker today, Wow! She was actually one of the mangers in the dairy dept. and helped me with the cheese and then wanted to check me out to see how much I would save. All of the expiration dates were out to March or April 2010 so I loaded up! I planned on loading up anyway. I ended up buying 56 packages of block and shredded cheeses, all varieties (pepper jack, swiss, cheddar, colby, mozzerella, muenster, pizza blend, nacho blend, parmesan etc). The block cheeses can be sliced and then repackaged and they freeze and don't come out crumbly. So I spent $56 and saved $205.78 on the cheese alone (regular price $3.99 ea). I also did the pie/ice cream deal and she took all 4 coupons as well as the skippy peanut butter (the natural is part of the deal also). Great week at Albies!!
I bought 8 pies and 8 Bryers ice cream this afternoon and a $15 catalina printed! I guess the ice cream was part of last week's spend $30, get a $15 catalina deal. I don't know how long it will last though!

The Tony's Party Pizzas are part of the 10 FOR $10 sale on the last page of the the weekly ad. I use a $1/2 and got them for $.50 each! I am not sure what insert the coupon came from because I file in a binder not by insert. If they have doubles this weekend they will be free :-)
They should take off all coupons even if the item is free because they get there money back and its a loss leader aways :o)

I did the Sara Lee/Breyer's deal today in Keizer, OR and it worked perfectly with the coupons you listed! :) When I read it I thought it sounded too good to be true, but I was pleasantly surprised to see signs all over the freezer section and an employee refilling the freezers with LOTS more...go get some! Even w/o coupons it is a great deal!!! :)

I bought 4 Sara Lee pies/4 Breyers this morning, but the cashier (122& Division) wouldn't let me use the Breyers coupons and only two Sara Lee coupons. How disappointing! BTW, Sierra Mist is 50 cents a 2 liter after coupon at register.
Albertsons let me use 4 coupons on the pie/icecream deal and I bought 2 $1 shred. cheeses. So all 6 items came to $4.80. If only I had a bigger freezer.
My sister disputed a cashier's denial of coupons on a deal a few months ago. She contacted the store manager afterward and he quickly returned her call and gave her a $10 gift card for her inconvenience. He also told her that it's not the cashier's job to interpret the coupons. If the cashier has any questions, they should speak with a manager.

I read at fabulesslyfrugal.com that the $30/$15 catalina is STILL printing, and will end Thursday the 12th at midnight and that it will work with the Pie/Breyers Deal. So I went and tried it and it worked! :) I bought 10 pies/10 Breyers, which brought my total to $31.95, I used 5 $5/1 Sara Lee Coupons and $15 in Cats from my last transaction, paid $11.95 oop and received another $15 cat! Wow, what a deal! I shopped at Albertsons in Keizer, OR and the shelves are stocked, so hurry in today, if you want to do this deal (cat will stop printing Thursday at midnight!)

erny- i shopped at the cully store today...i used a 1.00/1 Q for the pie and a 1.00/2 Q for the ice cream and it went fine. I bet i could have used a second pie q. Be brave... don't let those meanies scare you. haha
Albertson's has Ocean Spray cranberries for $1.99 and there are peelies on the Cranberry juice for $1 off on cranberries. $.99 is a pretty good deal, I stocked up for Thanksgiving.
My Fleischmann's catalina didn't print out last night. Has anyone else had that problem?

Did the Sara Lee promo. @ Albertsons tonight and the cashier took two Sara Lee Qs and 2 Breyers Q without a problem. This was at the Milwaukie Albertons. There was a lot of pies and ice cream to choose from as well.
