There’s a new catalina promo running right now at Albertsons:
Buy 2 Velveeta Shells & Cheese Cups @ $1 each = $2
Use BOGO coupon from 8/9 SS insert
Pay $1, Get $1 Catalina
FREE after coupon & cat
If you have multiple BOGO coupons, you will have to do separate transactions — only one cat will print.
Roll the $1 cat to the next transaction:
Buy 2 Cups = $2
Use BOGO coupon
Use $1 cat from trans #1
Pay $0, Get $1 Catalina
FREE with $1 overage after coupon & cat
Now, on to the latest update on the Kraft Rebate Promo running at Albertsons. There are serious questions whether the $20 rebate will be honored if you use coupons (your total is not $25 after coupons). I’ve read conflicting information all over the web. There are two ways you can deal with it:
1. Try the transaction with your total before coupons, meaning your total out-of-pocket is less than $25. If the $5 catalina and the $20 rebate form prints, I imagine your rebate will be honored.
If you choose this option, be sure you make a copy of your receipt and rebate form before you send it off to Kraft. If you don’t receive your rebate or are denied, you may have recourse especially if the rebate form printed for you at the register.
If you’ve already completed your rebate transaction and are freaking out, please don’t. I honestly think your rebate will be honored.
2. Go for $25 after coupons and doubles with the attitude that it’s free food.
You can always save your coupons for your next Kraft transaction. For example, use your $5 catalina from trans #1 (your rebate transaction), all your coupons and the doubles if they come out. Your total should be less than $15 and you will receive another $5 catalina (but not an additional rebate).
Since I’m doing this deal solely to donate the items for our Give It Away Challenge, I don’t want to take the chance that my rebate will be denied. I’d feel better about taking the risk if my family was actually using the items.
I’m sorry this issue continues to be confusing. I wish Albertsons corporate (and other stores & manufacturers) would just decide which way to go so customers can confidently shop their stores and products.
