The Best Buy Black Friday deals are live on BestBuy.com! Skip the lines and the crowd and buy from home!
Here are the best deals from the Best Buy Black Friday ad. The commentary is provided by my husband, Will, who continually amazes me with his extensive knowledge of all things considered incredibly boring to me. And his hilarity. Please enjoy.
Toshiba 40″ LCD, 60Hz, 1080p on sale $179.99 (regularly $419.99)
I feel bad mentioning this because a) it is a 60Hz which I cannot personally stand to look at, and b) there’s no chance you’re getting one unless you skip Thanksgiving and spend all of it on the sidewalk in line at Best Buy. But it’s SO CHEAP; how can I not mention it?
Toshiba Smart Wi-Fi Ready Blu-Ray Player on sale $39.99 (regularly $79.99)
Initially I thought this was a good deal but realized this is the model that you have to buy an additional Wi-Fi adapter if you actually want to connect wirelessly to your network. I would rather buy the LG model with Built-In Wi-Fi for $59.99 at BestBuy.com and not need to leave my sofa — just order online, and it ships for free!
Samsung 55″ LED, 120Hz, 1080p on sale $799 (regularly $1499)
There are plenty of good prices on TV’s this year, but this is the TV deal I’m most excited about in Best Buy’s Black Friday ad. LED uses far less energy and is typically brighter than LCD, and Samsung is my brand of choice when it comes to picture quality. This is by far the best bang for the buck this year.
Roku 2 XD Wireless Digital Media Player on sale $59.99 (regularly $79.99)
If you don’t have a Blu-Ray player or game console, this is the best way to stream video and movies from the internet on your TV in HD from places like Netflix and Amazon.
50+ DVD Titles on sale $1.99 (regularly $4.99-$24.99)
I don’t believe in owning movies because I only watch a movie one time, but some people insist on wasting their money. They can waste less of it on some excellent movie titles Black Friday at Best Buy.
10-cup Drip Coffee Maker on sale $7.99 (regularly $19.99)
SanDisk Clip Zip Mp3 Player 4GB on sale $27.99 (regularly $39.99)
I have tried many of the cheaper Mp3 players, but none are acceptable that cost less than this. Our family owns 3 of this exact player, and they work great!
Canon Powershot A2300 on sale $79.99 (regularly $139.99)
Does anybody use a digital camera not attached to their phone anymore? If so, this is a great deal because it is a quality item that comes with a free case and free SD memory card and still costs less than any other known-brand named camera.
Nikon D3000 10.2MP DSLR on sale $449.99 (regularly $799.99)
Digital Camera with case, addtl zoom lens, 8GB SD Card. This is good price, but Amazon will most likely have the Canon DSLR (better reviews than the Nikon) at a similar price sometime soon.
iPhone 4 8GB w/ 2-year contract on sale $1 (regularly $1 Bazillion)
If you’re interested in being 2 years behind the times but not paying any money to get there, this is the deal for you!
iPhone 4S 16GB w/ 2-year contract on sale $99 (regularly $2 Gazillion)
If you’re interested in being 1 year behind the times but paying half what it used to cost…
Samsung Galaxy S III 4G w/ 2-year contract on sale $49 (regularly $199 w/ 2-year contract)
Time to jump off the iPhone bandwagon and get a phone that really dominates.
LG 27″ LED Monitor on sale $199 (regularly $349.99)
Bigger is better, and this is the price we were paying for a similar 23″ a year ago.
