Over the past two years, this blog has evolved quite a bit. We started sharing primarily our own deals and results of our personal shopping trips. As the site has grown, so have the business responsibilities (and my family!) and honestly, I just don’t hit the stores like I used to.
In an effort to bring back these types of posts to serve as a challenge to our seasoned couponers and inspiration to our newer readers, we are seeking out Frugal Living NW readers who consider themselves “experts” in playing a particular local store (Safeway, Albertsons, Target, Rite Aid and/or Walgreens) and love sharing their scores with others.
Does this sound like you? Read on!
Qualifications of a FLNW Store Expert: You must be…
:: A seasoned couponer — you know the ins-and-outs of your store and know how to craft a hot deal
:: A regular couponer — you are in “your” store at least once a week
:: An ethical couponer — you play by the rules
:: A community-minded couponer — you are kind to cashiers and leave items on the shelf for the rest of us
:: A Pacific Northwest couponer — you live in Oregon or Washington (maybe Idaho)
:: A good communicator — you can list out your deal in a way that is easy to understand
Responsibilities of a FLNW Store Expert:
Pretty simple. When you score big, take a picture, list out the deal and email it. You need to know how to resize a photo and attach it to an email (okay, we’ll teach you how to resize a photo). We will post your deal if it makes sense and if we have time!
What’s in it for you?
Well, it will be fun. And you get to share your deals with someone other than your husband and your mom. And there will be occasional prizes and swag.
We are looking for 2-4 readers for each of the following stores:
- Rite Aid
You are welcome to apply for one or more stores. If accepted (sounds like a sorority, huh?), you will be official for four months (through the end of 2010) at which time we will form new teams.
Interested in applying? Take this super short survey and we will let you know if you’re in (application deadline is Tuesday, September 21).
