The Portland children’s consignment season has begun! I can’t tell you how much I love hitting these twice a year events to pick up cheap clothes for my three kids (ah! four!). I have also been a consigner at two different sales, selling our gently used clothes, and have made quite a bit of money. I am far from a pro, but I do have some experience and some tips to share in upcoming posts.
The Superkids Resale consignment event is coming up next weekend. This is a great sale right in Gresham at the Gresham Armory. It’s not too big and not too small. And it looks like they have great activities planned for the entire family, including a car seat recycling program from 10 am-2 pm on Saturday (I hate throwing away my old car seats!).
While you’re shopping, stop by the Frugal Living NW booth! I will be there talking deals, introducing moms & dads to our blog and promoting upcoming couponing classes. Be sure to introduce yourself!
The best part of consigning (other than the money) is that you get to shop at the pre-sale event. It’s great to be the first to hit the racks! The Superkids Resale pre-sale is Thursday from 4-8 pm and the organizers have generously given me five pairs of pre-sale tickets to give away to Frugal Living NW readers!
To enter for a pair of pre-sale tickets, leave a comment with your first & last name. I will randomly pick five winners on Tuesday evening.
