$1 off Franz bread printable coupon

by Angela Davis on July 1, 2011

I was recently asked to review some products from Franz Family Bakeries. Franz is a chain of family owned and operated bakeries serving the Northwest. Bakeries are placed strategically around the Northwest (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, western Montana and Northern California) to insure quality and freshness. In addition, the majority of Franz baked goods consisted of ingredients sourced in the Northwest.

My absolute favorite Franz bread is the Oregon Trail 100% Whole Wheat bread — there’s not many ingredients and there’s no high fructose corn sugar! I am regularly able to get this bread at the Franz Bakery Outlet for less than $2 a loaf! And obviously, my kids (an I) loved Frosted Animal cookies (no high fructose corn sugar with these either!).

Franz is offering a special $1/1 Franz bread printable coupon — you can print one coupon per household. Remember, Franz products are only available in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, western Montana and Northern California.

Franz provided me the products shown above and select information to facilitate my review. All opinions are 100% mine and not affected in any way by the free baked goods.

When we were at Target today, they had Franz basic hamburger and hot dog buns on sale for $1.42 a pack. Also checked Safeway and it was $2.99 for the fancier loaves, $2.49 for plain white bread loaves.

Since we already have plenty of hamburger and hot dog buns for our family right now, we’re holding on but somebody else might be interested in the bun deal.

Kudos for the lack of HFCS in the Oregon bread, but I wish they’d kill the partially hydrogenated soybean / cottonseed oil while they’re at it. These oils are already questionable without the nasty added processing.

We love their whole wheat mini bagels. 100 calories and no HFCS. Also they have organic “Great Seed” bread that I can get off the clearance rack for about a buck. Soooo goood! Tastes similar to Daves Killer Bread.

Looks like the coupon is good for any Franz product, not just bread. We’re a big fan of the bagels that I usually buy at the outlet store, but the Winco price is almost as good, so I may use the coupon on my next trip which would make them less than $1.

Do the Franz outlets take coupons?

In the disclosure on the coupon the very last sentence states “Not vaild at Franz Bakery Outlet Stores.”

Total bummer! :(

Watch for the Buns (w peelies) that have BOGO coupons for burgerville tillamook cheeseburgers.
