The problem with last Fridays ‘free’ egg beaters, is that each FM store I went to, none were under the price limit set on the e-coupon.
That’s what I ran into as well, but the coupon took off that amount
Same here, but the register deducted the full price. (I had a 60-cent catalina cpn to use, just in case.)
It still took of the full amount for me on the egg beaters
of = off
Me, too!
When I loaded thisto my card, it says exp.2/16, Are you trying to say that you can only load to card today??
Yes. It is only available to load today.
Next Friday 2-8 will be the last of the scheduled freebies.
tried this today at fred meyers it did not work and the cashier had no idea what I was talking about! Gonna write to Fred Meyers and see why.
Michelle, I had this problem with the Carnation deal. I found out afterwards that the e-coupon doesn’t automatically come off when you put in your Fred Meyer reward number (like it does at Safeway). Instead, it hesitated until I’d selected my form of payment, then it just processed it through as a $0 sale with the deduction showing on my receipt. (I’d already had problems with it before, so I made this my only purchase the second time around to test it.)
At the Battle Ground Freddy’s they had no idea where the gum was. I couldn’t find it so I asked for help locating it and they had no idea where it was or if they had any. Bummer.
As for the eggs, I didn’t try since it was $3.19 and we don’t normally buy that product so I wasn’t willing to spend the difference. But maybe I’ll try to see if it will still count it even though it is over the price listed. I’d like to try it to see if we’d even like it.
The gum should be at nearly every register, in the “Mommy, buy me this” section. Most people are reporting that the Egg Beaters are free after the register deducts the $3.19 or whatever the price is.
I got the Carnation and the Egg Beaters totally free and expect the same tomorrow with the Orbit. As the Orbit gal on the commercials used to say: “Fabulous!”
Thanks Howard! You are always good for a laugh! Is the gum the 69 cent gum or is it a multipack in the gum section? The picture is not clear to me so I just don’t have a clue.
You know, I thought it was a little package of 6 pieces of gum (the e-cpn says “6-count”), but now I’m thinking it might be a multipack of 6 individual packages. I might stop in tonight to try it and see what happens. Maybe another reader will post his or her experience before then.
Tired the gum on Saturday and it did not work. Had the manager come over and she was no help. She tired to tell me I had to print it out and then asked me to delete it and add it again. Sure enough the deal disappeared. I’ve had problems with FM and their e-coupons not working (wish they could be like Safeway) and am now leary about wasting my time using them. Oh, the gum is really only 6 pieces, very small by the registers.
I was able to use the Carnation deal Friday evening and attempted to redeem the free Orbit voucher as well, but the gum price didn’t deduct from my total.
I was watching to make sure the Carnation did, and after that was admittedly lax about watching the Orbit for some reason…my loss of .60
I might take in my receipt and gripe to CS as I have a return to make. I’ve got my e-coupons printed out so….
I had hard time locating the gum as well. There were 15 stick small packs, and a bigger packet with 3 individual boxes, but I couldnt find a 6 ct gum even near the registers at Imbrie Drive FM. Has anyone been able to at all use this coupon successfully?
Found the tiny 6-pack ($.69 value) at the register in Tigard today, no problem. The e-cpn came right off according to my receipt.
