Ibotta: Sign up NOW ($5 bonus ends Friday)

by Angela Davis on January 8, 2013

I just received word that Ibotta is offering the $5 sign-up bonus through Friday, January 11, 2013 only (you must submit your first successful offer by January 17, 2013 to get the bonus). After Friday, the app will still be available to download, but you just won’t get the $5 bonus. The bonus posts to your account once you submit your first receipt.

Create your account through this link now to be qualified for the $5 bonus!

New to Ibotta? It’s a smartphone app that pays you up to $40 every time you shop at local retailers like Walmart, Target, Safeway, Fred Meyer, QFC, Rite Aid, WinCo and Walgreens. The app is available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and all Android phones.

  • Create an Ibotta account here.
  • Complete one or more of the tasks for the product(s) you’d like to save on.
  • Purchase the product(s) at one of the participating retailers.
  • Take a photo of your receipt with the Ibotta app.
  • Get paid via PayPal every time your account reaches $5!

Ibotta offers sometimes vary by user. You may or may not have this particular offer available. Find more Ibotta deals here.

this is so great. I’ve used it 2 times already and it’s worked perfectly. I have it on my phone and tablet. Thanks so much for sharing!

Thank you! Just downloaded & set up. Looks great, I’m excited to get some money back with this app! A lot of the offers include Facebook wall postings. Is everyone doing this? Seems kinda obnoxious to have all these “I just saved $0.25″ links on my wall. have a secondary account that I use for coupons & offers, but since this is on my phone, it automaticall

y connects to my primary fb account. Advice?

I have submitted receipts twice. They were even folded. And I had no problem. I used the app on my phone and was able to photgraph it in sections. Take picture of receipt on their program and then click, add section. I even got the $5 sign up bonus.

They did not ask more my card information either for payment, but i recall seeing something about them using paypal to pay me. Hopefully I can bring the value up before I do that. Will keep you posted.

I have been so frustrated with Ibotta. I bought qualifying products from Safeway and the receipt which printed was LONG and the ink faint. I tried to scan it in with no success. I read in their FAQs that wrinkled, faint-inked etc receipts will not work. Fair enough. Was at RA the other day and got the Listerine. ONE item. Treated my receipt like the gold it is. Except. It got folded in the middle, just slightly, otherwise it was still crisp. Could not upload that one either!
Tried again at Target. Target gives short receipts = success. So beware with your receipts. No folds. No creases. No wrinkle. No faint ink :)

I think you have to click on get paid or something, and then it will ask for your paypay email address.
