Rebecca & I talk a lot on this blog about Dave Ramsey and how his Financial Peace University transformed our both of our families’ financial lives. While the 13-week course is worth every moment and penny you spend on it, I realize many of you don’t have the time to devote or perhaps have a reluctant partner and could never convince him/her to attend 13, two-hour sessions on personal finance.
If you are at all interested in learning how to take control of your money, get out of debt, financially prepare for the future or just get motivated when it comes to your family’s financial goals, please consider attending the Total Money Makeover LIVE event on Saturday, October 24 at the Portland Memorial Coliseum. Not only will you learn TONS about personal finance but you will be entertained every step of the way. And it’s a great introduction to Dave Ramsey and what you will learn in FPU.
There are still discounted tickets available for $11.90 each, which is $10 less than last year’s LIVE event. If you use the coupon code FRUGAL at check-out, you will not be charged the $3 per ticket processing fee (this is a special code given for Frugal Living NW readers). I’m not sure when they will pull the special pricing so I suggest you hop over there if you are interested in attending.
I think this event is totally appropriate for high school students and even mature junior highers. In fact, if my kids were teenagers they would be required to attend!
I’d love to hear from other readers who have also attended FPU or a previous LIVE event. Do you think it’s worth the time and money? How has your family been impacted?
