TenMarks, an Amazon company, is offering a FREE summer math program designed to strengthen your child’s math skills over the summer break. It’s available for kids K-12 and is completely free.

  • Personalized Program for Each Student, Based on Diagnostic Assessment
  • Designed to Build Foundations, Reinforce, and Enrich
  • An hour a week is all it takes

You can personalize the program with incentives and bonuses if you’d like.

UPDATE: We’ve started this programs for our three older kids (entering 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades in the fall) and they really, really like it. The initial assessment was a bit frustrating for my kids as it seems to be based on Common Core standards and their school has not introduced some of these concepts in their math curriculum. If your kids are in the same boat, you should sit with them as they do the assessment to encourage them to just skip those questions. Otherwise, they will want to throw the computer out the window. Ask me how I know.

Head to TenMarks to sign up for the FREE Summer Math Program!

Thanks, What Rose Knows!

Totally true about the assessment. 2 of my 3 sailed through it and the oldest got frustrated. I finally told him “don’t worry about getting all the answers right, it is just to find out where you are and build lessons for where you are at.” He finally finished it and now happily does his lessons. Now they are competing to see who can get the most points. A win win all around.

Unfortunately my six year old couldn’t stay focused with this program. It was worth a try. Thanks for the information.

Is there anything like this for reading as well? Something quality and FREE? (Or low cost?)

@Anita – http://www.learntoreadfree.com/ has a (smallish) free reading program, and there are others listed here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152354201635155&set=a.496176595154.294030.8798180154&type=1
I haven’t tried most of them, but I’ve heard good things about Starfall.
