Have you ever found yourself quickly flipping past the front page of the Sunday paper, eager to pull out the latest coupon insert and scope out the week’s hottest deals? I often forget that the Sunday newspaper is actually a vehicle for carrying news, not just the Albertson’s doubles or the golden nugget $10 off $50 from Safeway. And the news, that is the rest of the newspaper which houses my beloved P&G Saver, is what provides the very helpful reminder of why it is we coupon.
So why do we coupon? The four-fold tagline at the top of the screen provides a daily reminder of what bargain-hunting is all about: Be Content. Spend Wisely. Give Generously. Leave a Legacy.
But what do these really mean? Stay tuned for the next four posts; we’ll be exploring each component of the four-part mission of Frugal Living NW. We might just discover a new kind of deal — one that doubles our joy.
