Sharing Spree, a Portland local daily deal site, is having a pretty good deal on cherries this week: Get an 18 pound box of freshly picked Hood River Cherries for $39 ($2.17/lb).
This is not the lowest price you’ll find on cherries — but anything cheaper will be u-pick, include a drive to the Columbia Gorge or be from another area. $2.17 for local cherries that requires no manual labor on my part? A worthwhile deal for me!
Once you purchase your voucher, just email the farm with your preferred pick-up date (July 26, 27, or 29, 2012) and then pick up your box-o-cherries at one of 3 locations: Tigard, Clackamas or Aurora. Your cherries are picked the morning of your pick-up and they should stay fresh for 2-3 weeks.
