Check out what Rebecca has collected for our Give Back Campaign! All of this will be sent to female soldiers stationed in Afghanistan.
I have attached a few pictures showing the items we put in our care packages for the ladies oversees. One shows my lil man (2) in the background eating his oatmeal and learning about what we are doing. It was quite fun watching him get involved and try to put stuff in the bags to donate (of course, I did need to keep a few items for myself and he wanted to give everything. So cute).
I have been couponing for almost two years and was getting ready to donate a lot of this stuff to a mission locally, and then saw your post. I always have good intentions and want to help the military, but don’t always get stuff together and actually to the post office. With the help of our small law firm in Salem, OR, we are putting together 5 care packages for the military….and the best part is, most everything in the pictures I got free or very, very cheap.
The two partners of the firm, along with the other staff, have all agreed to pitch in some additional items and money to help send these packages to the women. One of the partners of our firm is former military and has given us some tips on what the men really liked when he was enlisted. I wish this information was put on a commercial or something where people would see it. I think we all assume that the people who are fighting for our country are being taken care of by our country, but sometimes that is not the case.
