As many of you know, my husband and I are huge Dave Ramsey fans and have been using the envelope system of handling money for over five years now. In fact, I’ve been using the Dave Ramsey girl wallet for almost that long. I can’t imagine life without my beloved Dave Ramsey wallet, but the standard envelopes inside, while perfectly functional, definitely lack style and they tend to get trashed within a few months.
Enter Kelleigh Ratzlaff, the uber talented digital scrapbook designer and Safeway shopping guru. In December 2009, Kelleigh designed a template for trendy and feminine envelopes that fit in the Dave Ramsey envelope systems and gave it away for free. I thought it was perfect, but there was NO WAY I was going to bust out any crafting skills and make one for myself.
Kelleigh finally responded to market demands and opened an etsy store filled with these fantastic envelopes! She sent one to me almost a year ago to try out. Here’s what I love about Kelleigh’s cash envelopes:
:: They are super cute. Need I say more?
:: You get to customize your tabs — just send Kelleigh your 10 envelope categories and she prints labels out with a cute font.
:: They are sturdy. Like I said, I’ve been using Kelleigh’s envelopes for almost a year and I haven’t had to tape any of them yet.
:: They really do fit perfectly into the Dave Ramsey envelope systems. They should also slide into any checkbook slot in a standard wallet.
Kelleigh has recently added a laminating option to the wallets. This will make them last even longer!
