Grocery Outlet: May deals + $25 gift card giveaway (tons of lunch items!)

by Angela Davis on May 23, 2013

I stopped by my local Grocery Outlet this week to scope out some deals for all of you, and I decided to look specifically for deals on lunch-y items. I don’t know about you, but I am quickly running out of making-school-lunch steam and need some easy-to-pack food. Here’s to summer vacation!

The important thing to remember when shopping the Grocery Outlet is that their stock and prices continually change based on what deals they can get from manufacturers, so you will encounter a slightly different store each time you shop. When you spot a deal that you’re excited about, that’s the time to stock-up! There’s no guarantee that the item will be there the next time you shop.

Side note: The Grocery Outlet cannot accept manufacturer’s coupons.

Here are a few examples of the great deals I found at the Gresham Grocery Outlet. Please note that your local store may or may not carry the same products or have the same prices.

Hillshire Deli-Sliced Turkey Breast (8 oz) on sale $.79
*Deli meat freezes well!

Jif Mocha Cappuccino Hazelnut Spread (14.1 oz) on sale $1.99
*This is very similar to Nutella, and about half the price!

grocery-outlet-1

Quaker Popped Chocolate Snacks on sale $1.29

Plum Organics Mashups Sqeezeable Fruit (4 pk) on sale $1.99
*These work as baby food as well. I realize the excess packaging is ridiculous, but you can’t deny the lack of mess.

YoCrunch Yogurt & Applesauce (4 pk) on sale $1.99

Odwalla Bars (6 pk) on sale $1.99
*These are typically $.99 each at the regular grocery store.

Keebler Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches (8 pk) on sale $1.29

Eat. Think. Smile Chewy Bars (5 ct) on sale $.99

And what kid doesn’t want some cookies in their lunch?

Immaculate Baking Cookie Dough (12-24 cookies) on sale $1.49
*My store had several varieties, including this gluten-free one. The others contained gluten.

Pillsbury Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookie Mix on sale $.33
*This was a big mark-down, so don’t be surprised if your store doesn’t have it.

I forget about all the great deals they have. I love shopping there. I can usually get protein bars for work cheap at GO. Plus its an easy way to stock up without having to use coupons ( i know it would be even better with) and you can get a lot more than you might usually.
