I stopped by my local Grocery Outlet this week to scope out some deals for all of you, and I really hit the jackpot. It’s not typical for me to make a big shopping trip, but I laid down some cash this time — there was just so many great deals!
The important thing to remember when shopping the Grocery Outlet is that their stock and prices continually change based on what deals they can get from manufacturers, so you will encounter a slightly different store each time you shop. When you spot a deal that you’re excited about, that’s the time to stock-up! There’s no guarantee that the item will be there the next time you shop.
Side note: The Grocery Outlet cannot accept manufacturer’s coupons.
Here are a few examples of the great deals I found at the Gresham Grocery Outlet. Please note that your local store may or may not carry the same products or have the same prices.
Tillamook Medium Shredded Cheddar Cheese (5 lbs) — $9.99
I consider any cheese at $2 per pound to be a stock-up price. Bonus that they shredded it for me! Shredded cheese freezes beautifully, so stock-up!
Cascadian Farm Frozen Organic Cut Green Beans (16 oz) — $1.49
I like to purchase vegetables when they are around $1 per pound, but these beans are organic, already prepared for me and available without coupons. I purchased many, many bags.
Tillamook Reduced Fat Cheddar Cheese Slices (8 oz) — $1
Again, cheese at $2 per pound or less is a fantastic price. And I love that it’s already sliced for me!
Strawberry ‘n Cream Granola — $.50
Can’t beat a box of cereal for $.50. Be sure to check out Emily’s recipe for homemade maple granola, if you’re feeling all domestic-like.
They also had great prices on non-perishable foods:
- Hellman’s Low Fat Mayonnaise — 3/$1
- Hellman’s Lite Mayonnaise — $.25
- Kraft Italian Dressing — $.50
- Skippy Extra Chunky Peanut Butter — $1.79
There was a crazy amount of lite, reduced-calorie items on sale throughout the store.
The Grocery Outlet always has fantastic prices on organic and gluten-free items. When you find something you like, make sure you buy a huge supply. I guarantee the more you like an item, the less likely it will be there the next time you shop :).
- Earth’s Best Organic Baby/Toddler Crackers — $.99
- Gluten-Free Granola — $2.99
- Gluten-Free Gingerbread Men Cookies — $1.69
I absolutely LOVE the Grocery Outlet’s dairy cases. Such good deals.
- Unsweetened Vanilla Almondmilk (64 oz) — $1.99
- Land O Lakes Half & Half (32 oz) — $.79
- So Delicious Original and French Vanilla Coconut Milk (32 oz) — $1.49
