Some say that death and taxes are certain. I’m pretty sure they need to add Facebook changes to that list. It’s forever evolving, which it should, but it makes it hard to make certain our readers get the most up to date information.
Last month, Facebook changed the way you view your posts. You can either choose “highlighted stories first” or “recent stories first”. If you want the most up to date information coming from FLNW or other Facebook friends, then you want to choose “recent stories first”. My feed seems to be defaulting to “highlighted stories first” so I have to re-check “recent stories first” almost every time I sign in.
The reason you want to make sure it’s set to “recent stories first” is that we will often post time sensitive information on Facebook to make sure that it reaches readers quickly. Google Reader and the daily email can sometimes take a bit of time to get to you. Facebook is our best tool for getting the information out quickly.
Here’s how to make sure you get the “recent stories first”. Log into Facebook. Head to the top of your Facebook page and click “sort”.
Then select “recent stories first”. Be sure to check this often to make sure it’s still set on this.
Voila! Now hopefully you will see the most recent posts from FLNW that will help you find sweet deals and save money.
