If you Facebook, you are probably aware that they have shaken things up a bit. As a Facebook user, you no long become “fans” of a product, page, or group (or blog!) but you “like” it. Weird, I know. If you were previously a “fan” of Frugal Living NW, you now “like” it. And you can “unlike” anything whenever you want.
The cool thing about this change is that now
“every logged in Facebook user the ability to ‘like’ something on [a] site, something [you’re] very used to doing on Facebook, and have it published to [your] Facebook stream!” (Savvy Blogging).
Not only can you “like” a website or a blog, you can “like” a specific post. And Kelleigh, my tech-go-to blogging pal, installed a super-easy way to post that you like a particular Frugal Living NW post on your Facebook stream.
All you have to do is be logged into your Facebook account and click the icon at the end of the post. Viola! It’s in your stream!
UPCOMING FACEBOOK EVENT
I have a couple of goals for this blog: to increase Frugal Living NW’s presence on Facebook (great job, Facebook Kate!) and to interact more with readers. In an effort to do both of these things, I am hosting a Facebook chat on Monday (4/26) evening from 8 – 10 pm (Pacific). This is your chance to ask me couponing and deal shopping questions, give your own frugal living tips and interact with other Frugal Living NW readers (and likers?).
Just jump on the Frugal Living NW page anytime between 8 and 10 pm on Monday and join in the conversation!
