Ink Garden is offering another great deal today! Get 100 premium, double-sided, personalized business cards for just the price of shipping ($4.49). There are tons of adorable and trendy designs available that you can completely personalize. Don’t have a business? Here are some ideas of how you can customize them to suit your needs:

  • Mommy Cards
  • Calling Cards
  • “Save the Date” Cards
  • Event Invite Cards — use them to invite moms you meet to your moms group or children’s program at church or school
  • Christmas Gift Tags

Hip 2 Save came up with the Gift Tag idea and I thought it was brilliant. I decided to give it a try. It only took about 4 minutes to complete, but it was a bit tricky to navigate through all the options, so I wrote out all the steps if you wish to do a similar project. I promise it’s not as difficult as it looks!

Here’s how to create your own design (like for gift tags):

:: Go to Ink Garden and click any one of the “Industries” links listed on the right side. It doesn’t matter which one.

:: Click “Build Your Own Design” near the top of the screen.

:: Click “Business Card” under the big “Build Your Own” graphic.

:: Click the “Build A Design” button.

:: On the “Choose a Front” page, select your layout for the side with a graphic and text. I selected the  layout that only has text on it. Do the same if you want to replicate my design pictured below.

:: On the “Add or Change Back” page, select the totally gray “Drag image here” box.

:: On the first “Customize” page, you can add text and graphics.  To add a Christmas image, click the “Clip Art & Backgrounds” tab, then “Events, Seasons & Holiday” then “Christmas.” Click and drag the image to the card, resize and reposition as you wish. Then add text. If you don’t want one of the text lines, just click it and press your delete key or drag it off the box completely — it will disappear. You can reposition the text by clicking and dragging the text box around. You can also change the font, alignment and color.

:: On the second “Customize” page, select “Add image” and upload a picture either from your computer or Facebook. Once the picture has uploaded, click and drag it into the box. Click the box and drag it around to position the picture as you wish it to look. Click “Apply.”

:: Click “Approve & Order.” Select 100 cards and check both boxes if you are satisfied with your design. Click “Add to Cart.”

:: Go through checkout. Your cart will show your total to be $11.99. Create an account and enter your shipping info.

:: On the checkout page, “Remove” the existing code then paste the code 100FREE2 into the code box and click “Apply” (use code 100FREE1 if you are ordering one-sided cards). Now your total should go from $16.48 to $4.49.

Enter your payment info and click “Complete Order.”

Whew! You did it! Now you have 100 customized gift tags to attach to your Christmas gifts this year.

Love your ideas. I decided to order cards for our Kiwanis Club. We invite potential members to one of our lunch meetings and so I made up invitation cards with calendars on the back! I am so excited to hand these out for recruitment. Thank you for the link and the ideas.
