UPDATE: I just figured out the kinks. I’ve updated the info below — follow the new directions.
I’m not a huge fan of typical parenting magazines — I feel like they are filled with ads for things I don’t need and advice that encourages me to be a hyper parent. But I truly enjoy Disney FamilyFun. It’s filled with great activities, crafts and learning resources that are totally do-able for this slacker mama!
Create one through this special link and you should get a $5 Living Social credit. Then look for the Portland Families deal. It is also available in other cities, including Seattle. Purchase the deal with your Living Social credit, and it will be free!
IMPORTANT: If you do not receive your $5 credit, don’t do the deal yet. Wait a day or two and check your account again. I think it should show up. The $5 Family Fun deal runs through Sunday (6/19), so you have plenty of time. If you don’t get your credit, contact Living Social and tell them you created an account through a referral link and did not receive your $5 credit.
If you have a Living Social account, you can get a $5 credit AFTER you purchase the subscription. Not as good as free, but Living Social frequently has low priced deals, so the $5 credit will get you a great deal soon. Here’s how to do the deal if you already have a Living Social account:
Go to Living Social through this link and purchase the one-year subscription. Once you click the “buy now” button, a Windows 7 commercial will come up. Watch it and then complete your order. After you’ve paid for the subscription, the $5 credit will post to your account.
New accounts should also be able to watch the Window 7 video to get the additional $5 credit as well after you purchase the deal.
The FamilyFun subscription is available through the week, but I’m not positive how long the Windows 7 credit will be around, so make sure you watch the ad today!
