Great Wolf Lodge Howl-o-ween Event for Pacific NW deal blog readers

by Angela on July 30, 2010

This event has been months in the making and I am so excited to finally be able to share it with all of you! A handful of Pacific Northwest bloggers have teamed up with Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, WA to offer a fantastic deal!

Frugal Living NW readers can book a family suite at Great Wolf Lodge on October 15 and/or 16 for just $169 when you use the group code 1010FAMBLOG. This same suite is normally priced at $239 per night during this weekend.

Not only will your family be able to enjoy Great Wolf Lodge’s gigantic indoor waterpark from 1 pm on your check-in day to close on your check-out day, but they have planned a number of extras for us:

:: Trick-or-Treating Trail Costume Contest

:: Nightly Howl-O-Ween Fun

:: Games in Wiley’s Haunted Woods

:: Pumpkin Patch

:: Halloween Crafts

And just for the adults, we are working on offering several workshops facilitated by Pacific Northwest deal bloggers on Saturday afternoon.

It’s going to be a great weekend of water and couponing fun. I’d sure love for you and your family to join us! Stay tuned for upcoming announcements on specific workshops and other family fun that will be coming during the Howl-o-ween Event at Great Wolf Lodge!

Details: Rooms at the special rate are limited. $169 is good for a family suite with 4 people and is available for one or two night stays. You must book by September 14 to get this deal.

Disclosure: I am receiving a discounted room rate for my family in exchange for blogging about this event. While the discount is awesome, I am really participating so I can meet all of you and hang out with my blogging pals. I sure how you can join us!

Just booked our stay, so excited. We have been wanting to take our family here but thought it was expensive. Thanks for making it affordable. Our sons 14th bday is the 13th so this will be his bday present too.

Thanks so much!!! We just booked a stay for the night of the 16th. Our daughter turns 6 on the 12th, so this is her birthday getaway!!! We’ve wanted to stay here (and so has our daughter) and now that it’s affordable, we can. Thanks!!!!!

We love the GWL! Just thought I’d share some handy tips we’ve picked up along the way . . . bring your own food/snacks (lunch stuff, fruit, yogurts, instant oatmeal), as they have fridges/microwaves in the rooms and the restaurants and snack bars are very expensive. When we leave our hotel room and go downstairs to the waterpark, we pack a big beachbag of food, water bottles, etc. to keep poolside. Also, the morning of your departure, check out of the rooms early and put your stuff in the car, but go back and play ALL day inside the water park – they have lockers and a lockerroom so you can change. (our first trip we thought we had to leave the park at the 11a.m. check-out and missed out on another full day of playing)

Thanks for the tips. I too would have thought we had to leave by 11.

You can also check in early before your room is ready they will stow your stuff and you can play in the pool.

We’ve been wanting to go FOREVER but it’s so expensive. Thank you so much for this great deal! We booked a room and BTW we’re a family of 5 and we booked that room. I’m trying to decide if I tell the kids or surprise them!

Do you know how long they will be offering this amazing deal? I am still on the fence if we should do it or not. My kids are 2 and 3. Almost 3 and 4 when we go, but Oct. is a way out to make definite plans with my husband starting a new fall term in Sept for school.

The code is valid until September 14. They stated that rooms are limited, but I get the feeling it’s limited to the entire lodge. I asked the PR gal to let me know when inventory is running low so I can let all of you know before it’s too late to book.

GIFT CARDS FOR SALE!
Hi Everyone,
I am a loyal frugallivingnw.com reader and was excited when I heard about this deal. Especially since I have 2 gift cards in the amount of $205.61 each (total 411.22) but due to a very tight budget and a serious goal to get out of credit card debt – I have decided to sell these gift cards. I am sure they can be used on anything that Great Wolfe offers (meals, lodging, etc) as they are ACTUAL gift cards and not certificates, coupons or anything like that…. I am asking 400.00 firm – thought this would be a good place to mention it if anyone was interested in saving a little more money.
I hope everyone has a great time and maybe I’ll get to meet everyone next time around.
If anyone is interested or has any questions, feel free to email me at lindamberrios@yahoo.com

We booked our stay and are very excited! We have three little kids and we can’t wait to have fun the the lodge. When we lived in PA, they had a lodge, but we never got to attend. We love that we live near one in OR now! We look forward to meeting many of you!

Just tried to book for Saturday night but all the rooms at this discounted rate are sold out. When I spoke with Great Wolf they said that the organizer would have to call to see if they could get more rooms opened up (the lodge is not sold out this day)… Is Frugal Living the technical “organizer?” If so, could you please try and get more rooms opened for Saturday. Thanks so much for putting together a great deal.
