Reading this site, sharing it with your friends and making your purchases through our links all help to support my family and the families of my five contributors. It also ensures that we can continue to bring you the best deals and frugal encouragement. Again, thanks.

If you own a small business or would like to give a shout out to a small business you love, we’d love to hear about it! Comment and tell us about your family-friendly business . Make sure you leave the web link to the business’s page if there is one and any specials running right now.

Note that your comment will be sent to spam if there are more than 2 links provided. I will also delete anything spammy, annoying or shady.

Hi! My name is Amanda and I work for an amazing, mom-run and privately owned website called Sharing Spree! We’re in Portland, Seattle, Nashville and Birmingham, along with dozens of national website-based small businesses. While our goal is to promote and support small businesses and local non-profits, we are proud to be one too! Two cheers to Frugal Living for all of your support and great post! Small businesses fuel our economy!

I love all of the great deals I’ve gotten on Sharing Spree! I have gotten SO spoiled with the deals I’ve gotten to Cinetopia – I hate to go anywhere else! PLUS I love that I get to make a donation to my favorite charity with every purchase :)

I LOVE sharing spree! Have made several purchases and also have received sharing spree credits, making future purchases free or low-cost. Even used $15 credit + $4 of my own money to get $45 sharing spree credit a few months ago, then used $33 of that credit to buy 3 oil changes and tire rotations.

I’ve seen those 5 smiling, innocent faces somewhere before. It wasn’t on the Post Office bulletin board, was it?

Hi! I don’t really have a “business,” per se, but I do have a very large collection of Margaret Furlong Christmas ornaments that I am currently selling for the holidays. Whether you are looking to fill in your own collection or give a gift, I probably have the piece(s), especially when it comes to the various angel series. My e-mail address is http://www.treasuresfromthesea@frontier.com. Thanks, Frugal Living NW!

I want to give a shout out to Sante Mama in Vancouver, WA. They are such a wonderful small business owned by women who truly care about the moms they work with. If you need anything baby related, they are the ones to go to (and provide a discount for low income moms)! They also donate their space and time to Bras2Moms, a program I run that provides free nursing bras and tanks to moms who cannot afford them.

Hi! I have a home based business as an independent consultant with Cookie Lee Jewelry. Cookie Lee is a line of affordable, high quality fashion jewelry that is sold exclusively through independent consultants like myself. Being a consultant with Cookie Lee has allowed me to basically be a stay at home mom for the past 9 years, yet I still am able to contribute to our family income and treat my husband to a fabulous all inclusive Dream Getaway Trip that I earn each year. To see the jewelry (and maybe do some Christmas shopping!) or find out more about a Cookie Lee business for yourself, visit my website.
PS: Here’s a Frugal tip for you: did you know if you have an American Express card you can register it to receive a $25 statement credit when you spend $25 or more with a participating business on Small Business Saturday?

Hello! My family and I just got back from the Portland Expo Center where we supported MANY small businesses who have set up booths there for the Christmas Bazaar. It’s great to get ornaments, toys, food stuffs and most of the booths are local small businesses.

I own a design shop — selling printable party goods. Banners, invites. Here is where I’m at (and I do have a coupon code now for 20%: SHOPSMALL20): http://www.etsy.com/shop/PrintablePartiesInc

I am a lawyer that has converted to mediator. I work in the areas of divorce, workplace conflict and child visitation modifications. I work with people that are more likely to come to an agreement. I also draft pro se divorce documents. I love my work and love the flexibility I have to volunteer in the classrooms of my kids, make play dates and take my kids to their various activities!!
