Maxell AA Batteries just $.25 per battery shipped (cheaper than Costco!)

by Kate from Frugal Living NW on January 10, 2013

Amazon has a sweet deal on Maxell AA Cell 48 Pack Box Battery — only $11.78 for 48 count box which is just $.25 per battery. Cheaper than Costco which is $.31 per battery for their house brand. Here’s how to do the deal.

:: Add the Maxell AA Cell 48 Pack Box Battery to your cart by clicking the “Subscribe & Save” button instead of the “One time delivery” button. You will receive 5% off plus FREE shipping with “Subscribe & Save.” I always choose the 6 month option:

:: Once you’ve enrolled in the Subscribe & Save program, you will receive automatic shipments of that product from Amazon at intervals you set. You are under no obligation to continue your subscription once your initial order ships and you can easily cancel through the “Manage” option in “Your Account.”

You will pay $11.78 total for 48 AA batteries, which is $.25 per battery shipped!

so do the people who hit subscribe & save get a discount on every delivery of batteries? It seems that my Prime account isn’t worth it maybe

Yes, you get the S&S discount but the price can go up (or down) at the next shipment time. Also the shipment speed is longer than the one time 2-day prime purchase.

I am gonna head back to Fry’s and get more batteries there…pretty sure it was 100 AA for $17.99 ($.17 each).

Some Home Depot’s still have the 48 pack of AAA and AA Rayovac batteries for 7.88. Much better deal.

That is an amazing deal! Were they on clearance?

It was part of the Black Friday deal and they’ve still had them. You can check inventory on the Home Depot page for the store you wish to go to. A lot are out, but some still have some. I bought a couple packs a few days ago at the Troutdale store. They have 24 AA and 24 AAA.

Hi Heather!
I am not having luck finding these on the website. Could you give me a little more detail on how to search a particular store to see if they have them?
Thanks so much!!

try doing a search for combo 24 plus 24 pack. If nothing they should come up under black friday deals with a link. That is usually what I do. They can be hard to find on the site since they aren’t available online. Good luck!

Found them at Clackamas. I called ahead to make sure they had them and the associate said that they would’ve already sold out of all of them from Black Friday. Then I mentioned that I heard there may have been more that had come in. At that point they actually physically checked and found them for me and pulled the 5 I wanted to the service desk!
