Wednesday was my unofficial “frugal errand” day. I didn’t mean for it to be, but after 4 stops I had only spent $.18! My first stop was Walgreens, hence the $.18, and of course, I earned RR’s as well. My next stop was the library, free, of course. Then was the car wash, of which I had a coupon for a free wash from a booklet of free car washes that I won at a Christmas party 2 years ago. Last stop was to Safeway. This trip would have cost me some money, however, Safeway has generously given Angela and me gift cards to shop there and then report back with all the wonderful savings to be found!
(4) Kraft Natural Shredded Cheese $9.96
(6) Philadelphia Cream Cheese $11.94
-$10 instantly with the “Buy 5 Save $5”
-(2) $1/2 Kraft Natural Cheese
-(2) $1/3 Philadelphia Cream Cheese
-$2 Safeway Double
-$1.19 10% off from Grand ReOpening Card
= $4.71! I thought this was pretty good for 10 items. Even without the 10% discount it would have been only $.59 each. These deals are some of my favorite type of promotions that Safeway has as you receive the savings right away and don’t have to worry about a catalina printing.
Progresso Chicken Broth $2.50
(2) Nestle Chips $4
Betty Crocker Cookie Pouch $1.25
-(2) $1/1 Nestle
-$.40/1 Betty Crocker cookie pouch
(I don’t know what happened to my cellfire coupon:( and I forgot to load my shortcuts one:((
-$2 Safeway Double
-$.78 from 10% Grand Reopening Card
= $1.57! This would have been even sweeter had my ecoupons worked and had I loaded them all.
I also bought onions, avocados, a pomegranate (used a $.50 Safeway coupon!), and Adams Peanut Butter. Strange assortment, but that’s all I could think of what we needed at the time.
I really like that Safeway lets me do more than one transaction at a time, and they don’t even think anything of it! I’m also loving the ecoupons, how could I have been so late in jumping on this bandwagon???!!! I’ve always been a little (lot?) technologically slow. Better late than never though, eh?
