About a year ago, I got rid of five random skillets from my kitchen cabinet. Five! Who needs that many skillets? Obviously not me as they were in mint condition, fresh off my wedding registry… um, ten years ago. I kept hanging on to them and the feeling I could make fancy things like crepes or tricky things like omelets at the drop of a hat. But I don’t like crepes or omelets so I was a little lacking in the motivation department. Those silly skillets had to go.
I am down to two heavy cast iron skillets. I love them. They are indestructible kitchen work horses, perfect for cooking on the stovetop or baking in the oven or putting over a campfire grate. I love how this purchase has streamlined both my kitchen cabinets and my cooking.
This 12″ cast iron Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Skillet is under $20. That is a great price for such a versatile kitchen tool. Check out the awesome reviews (almost 1,300 reviews and it still maintains a 4.5 star rating). It is currently ranked #11 on the top 100 best sellers
in Amazon’s kitchen & dining category.
Amazon has the Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Skillet in stock and ready to ship!

Thanks so much. Looks so good, I’m making it this weekend.
YEAH!! Thanks so much for the recipe
I love my cast iron cookware! It was inherited from my grandmother, so it’s well seasoned. I hardly use any other pans!
Is it non-stick? I hate scrubbing pans.
It’s not non-stick, but because it is seasoned, it is easy to clean. I just use a brush or a rubber scraper. Obviously not as easy to clean as non-stick pans (is anything?) but easier than my old stainless steel skillets.
I’ve always been intrigued by cast iron pans, but am too afraid of buying one. It will hurt too much when my wife hits me in the head.
