Hold on, this is a big deal — Admission to the Oregon Zoo is just $.50 on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 when you arrive by the MAX train or Tri-Met bus.
Admission to the zoo is usually $4 on the second Tuesday of each month, but they are offering $.50 off the discounted admission because the zoo closes early at 4:00 pm that day. Now we’re down to $3.50.
To alleviate the parking madness that comes with the second Tuesday promotion, the zoo will also double its standard $1.50 discount for visitors who arrive by MAX or a TriMet bus (proof of ridership is required). Take $3 off and now we’re down to $.50 per person!
Doors open early at 8:00 am. Past second Tuesdays in August have brought over 14,000 people, so it will definitely be a zoo in more than one sense of the word. (Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.)
