I went to Albertson’s today to do the “buy $30 in certain products get $15 back” deal and came home pretty happy with my trip. If anyone is still planning on doing this deal be aware that they have been running out of the Progresso Chicken Broth boxes and the Progresso soups so go earlier in the day if possible. I did talk to an employee today and was informed that Albertsons truck arrives every other day to restock, so if it isn’t there one day, try the next or just ask when they plan on restocking.
Here was how I did:
3 boxes Progresso Chicken Broth – used 2 $1/1 coupons and 1 $0.50/1
2 cans Progresso Chicken Noodle Soup – used 2 $1.10/1 IP’s
2 boxes Chex cereal – used 1 $1/2 coupon
2 bottles Suave hand lotion – used 2 $0.75/1 coupons
2 Breyers ice cream – used 2 $0.50/1 coupons
1 Grands biscuits – used 1 $0.40/1 coupon
1 Ragu pasta sauce – no coupon 🙁
plus used 1 Safeway double coupon for $2
Before coupons total came to $30.02
After coupons = $19.92
Now this is where my deal became better; I still had $12 in catalinas leftover, from my recent Glade moneymaker , which expired today, so I had to use them up. My Glade deal made me around $90 in profit, so this $12 was all profit I was using.
After catalinas = $7.72
Received $15 in catalinas
Profit of $7.28
Now I have $15 to use at either Freddy’s, Safeway or Albertsons, though if I can hold off then perhaps there will be another moneymaker next week!
One could have easily brought their bill down further than I did in a few different ways. If you have access to another computer then you can print off more $1.10 Progresso coupons bringing your total down to a ridiculously low price of $8.22, but you would have to print out 18 $1.10 coupons and that might be a pain. I would have really made money if I had done that! There were other higher value coupons for some of the other products though, I was just trying to get things i needed. Or wanted as I don’t really need ice cream.
