Restaurant.com Weekly Promo Offer 300 x 250

Restaurant.com is having a sale! If you’re planning a trip soon, these are a great way to save on your eating out expenses.  Use the code SUN at checkout, July 8-13 and get a $25 gift certificate for just $2.

Are you new to Restaurant.com? Here’s how it works:

1. Go to Restaurant.com.

2. Enter your zip code or closest major city.

3. Scroll through the available restaurants

4. Add certificates to your cart

5. Enter the code SUN and 80% will be deducted from your total — this code is valid July 8-13. You can use Paypal or a credit/debit card to pay for your purchases.

6. The certificates will be added to your account. When you are ready to redeem a particular certificate, just print it from your account and give it to your server.

Important details to note:

  • Read the fine and medium sized print. In most cases your bill total must be $35-$50 in order to redeem a $25 certificate. You may only use one certificate at a time, even if you have separate checks.
  • Some restaurants add a gratuity to the bill for you. If they don’t, please remember to tip on the total bill, not the actual cash amount you pay.
  • There is no minimum purchase so feel free to just get one certificate if you’re hesitant.
  • You do not need to print the certificates right now. I just leave them in my account until I’m ready to use them.
  • Certificates DO NOT EXPIRE!

What are some creative ways to use Restaurant.com gift certificates?

I’ve been using Restaurant.com on and off, it’s a great way to try out new restaurants, but you’ve got to read the fine print on the certificate that prints out. I had not heard they were misrepresenting the retailers, which is a shame, but I’ve never run into this. I usually let the person know I have the restaurant.com certificate while we’re putting in our order, just so they can warn me of any restrictions if there are any. I just bought a bunch to use on my honeymoon next month! 🙂

It’s a good idea to check with the restaurant before you buy the certificate though. There are at least 2 restaurants in our area who do not accept the certificates. They say that the deals that are being offered are not what they signed up for and that they keep being told that they will be removed but never are. So, while these are good deals if they work I’m not sure I like dealing with a site that is not living up to their deals with the rstaurant owners. If what we are being by them is true.

This is one SWEET deal! I enered their site through my usual ebates.com account and got an additional 15% off!!! If you don’t have an ebates account already, you can sign up through me here and we both get a bonus. (When I signed up, they mailed me a $10 Target gift card that I chose. I use ebates.com all the time and they actually send me a check in the mail for my rebates and I never have to send in a thing!!!)

A HUGE thanks to Frugal Living NW for helping me save a ton of money. Love it!
