Rite Aid: Fantastic double-dip promo on Colgate products ($6.55 moneymaker)

Shared on February 18, 2012
This post may contain affiliate links which means I make a small commission if you make a purchase at no additional cost to you. See the disclosure policy for more information.

I haven’t personally checked the details on this, but apparently there is a monthly +UP Reward running that will double dip with this week’s amazing sale on Colgate products.  Here are the details I know on the monthly reward: Spend $25, Get $10 +UP Reward – limit 4 (through 3/6).

Here’s a possible scenario for you:

Purchase:
(4) Colgate Total Advanced or Sensitive Toothpaste on sale $3.50
(5) Colgate 360 or Sensitive ProRelief Toothbrush $2.49
Use (4) $.75/1 Colgate Toothpaste coupon from 2/12 SS insert
Pay $23.45, Get (4) $3.50 +UPs, (4) $1.50 +UPs and $10 monthly +UP
FREE + $6.55 overage after coupons and rewards

Both of these items qualify for the “Winter Rewards” program as well, so you will have $26.45 towards the $100 total you need.

If anyone else knows of additional qualifying items or comes up with any other scenarios, please let us know.  What a fantastic stock-up deal!

Be sure to check out the rest of this week’s Rite Aid deals here.

Thanks Southern Cali Saver!

    I heard about a Colgate/Palmolive Rebate going on, spend $10, get $5.
Although on their website the form is no longer available.

Does anyone here have an extra one that they’d be willing to send me?
    I’ll exchange for coupons????
    Thanks

For those who can’t find enough toothpaste or brushes, this is what I did 3 toothpastes=10.50 plus 3 Advil products ($4.99*3) $14.97. I only had 3 $1/1 coupons for the Advil stuff. Received $10 UP and 3 $3.50 ups for a total of $20.50 in ups. Plus I will turn in the Advil for a $10 Rebate so I will make $8.03 on this deal! Plus I am stocked on Children’s advil for 2 years hopefully.

Do I need to buy all the toothbrushes & toothpastes in one transaction to get the $10 Up+ rewards or I can do multiple transactions and still get the $10 rewards?

I’m reasonably sure it’s a cumulative deal that allows you to make the total in multiple purchases because my receipt shows I have $14 banked toward this deal after yesterday’s toothpaste purchase.

Hi, are you saying you can do multiples using just one Wellness Plus card number? I know someone who has three and does the $100/$20 deal on each one separately.

This particular deal (the $25/$10 +UP) has a limit of 4 & goes on all month! the monthly $100/$20 I am quite sure only has a limit of 1.
I also have two cards-one for me & one for my husband that I work off of. Also I sometimes shop for my friends (as I have more free time) & use their cards too.

I posted earlier about my cashier in Eugene telling me you can’t use UP’s until the next day. I went back later today and used my UP from this am and it scanned fine. I guess they just have the right to tell you you can’t do multiple transactions anymore if they want.

I think some of them are enforcing the rule and some not. It probablly depends on the supervisor. Retail can be a hard job sometimes; policy changes and different people make it always challenging 🙂

Thank you Melody, for these posts, I really appreciate them too!!

Just depends on your cashier and your store. Also, if you are a regular and if you are on a one-on-one with the people who work there. That really helps…….A LOT!

Yes I was able to do the deal except I didn’t buy the toothbrushes, just the toothpaste and it was a Triple Play!! Received all four UPs for 3.50 and the monthly UP for $10, with no fuss, no muss. And since it qualifies for the Winter Rewards, added $14 towards it. Submitted the Colgate Palmolive rebate and I’m doing my happy dance!!

Not sure how you got the $10, which requires a $25 min purchase of Advil/Colgate products. Perhaps you bought some earlier in the month? Also, I’m not aware of any Colgate rebate, unless it was not offered here in Portland. I know Colgate/Palmolive traditionally does a $10 (I think) rebate around this time each year. Fred Meyer used to carry those rebate forms. What’s the deal this time?

Met an active couponing “stranger” at King City, OR RA this morning who gave me two of her 75-ct Colgate toothpaste cpns. I bought 4 @ $3.50 and used 3 cpns. All 4 Plus-Ups printed out, and I used them immediately on the Prevacid deal. Paid $26.09 each (after 10% Wellness discount) less $4 cpn on each one, total $44.18. I should receive either $18.09 or $22.09 from Novartis for the rebate, I guess, plus the $10 Plus-Up that printed out at the store. Best of all, it qualified me for the $20 monthly Wellness Plus-Up that I wasn’t even trying for; I had $48 banked and wasn’t going to pursue it. Instead, the Prevacid became a moneymaker for me.

Hi, Howard. I would recommend you use a sharpie to cross out the UPs on your receipt. Last time Novartis ran their Prevacid rebate, they only reimbursed people for their out-of-pocket portion. (Their “reasoning” behind this decision was all screwed up!) Anyways, I wound up receiving only $8 because I used primarily UPs to pay for it. I was so mad that I contacted their upper management and threatened to file a complaint with the Oregon Attorney General’s office. Soon after, they started sending people a second check with the missing UPs portion. (I like to think it was because of my phone call…wink, wink!) Anyways, this was all very recent (last month, with the second checks) so I’m not sure they have all the kinks worked out yet with this new rebate. Blacking out the UPs discounts might help to avoid any “confusion” during processing.

Thanks, will try that because I had the same concern before you wrote this. I used about $17 in +ups toward this purchase and wondered if they’d subtract that amt and force me to call Novartis and bug them. I called them once before, either for nonreceipt of a prior Prevacid deal or an underpayment.

I did this deal this morning and the strangest thing happened! Bought 4 Colgate toothpastes and 5 toothbrushes….I received the $10 +UP and (4) $4 +UP’s for “cologne spray” of all things! Not sure what happened in their system. Although I bought a few other things, I am certain these mysterious +UP’s didn’t generate from these other items since I didn’t buy 4 of the same item (only 4 of the toothpastes). Wierd!

It’s on the RA card broucher on the back it’s states we can’t use our Up’s until 6 am the next day. 🙁 it seems some stores are impalmenting it now, some are still allowing rolling but it is printed that you cant use it until the next day.

SO excited to see that the UPR limit is 4 because I did a $12 moneymaker last week with thermacare & optic white toothpaste. Awesome these doubledips on items in the winter resolutions promo!! After this scenario, I will have $77 towards it on ALL free or moneymaker items!! I have to go back and look specifically, but I’m gonna end up getting that $20 UP with no or negative OOP expense….LOVE Rite Aid! And love this site’s matchups, so detailed and nuanced!

I did this at midnight. It basically worked…..the 10.00 up printed even though it’s a little short of 25.00. Our ups for the toothpaste and toothbrushes themselves didn’t print but they gave us a credit for them….probably too close to midnight.

Problem will be toothbrush stock. I got 4, and my friend got 4 only leaving 2 on the shelf. I only got one paper last week so I didn’t use coupons. Still a money maker without them.
