Rite Aid: My personal shopping trip + more deals (Free Peeps & Reese’s)

I ran out to Rite Aid this morning to pick up a few things and to check on a few deals that readers have left in the comments of this week’s full match ups.  There are some fun deals popping up!

Here was my shopping trip:

Purchased:
(2) Snapple (16 oz) $.88
(2) Rite Aid Home Sandwich Bags (50 ct) $2.59/$1.29
(2) Rite Aid Home Freezer Bags (15 ct) $3.19/$1.59
(2) Mentos UP2U Gum $1
Orbit Gum $1

Used:
$1/2 Snapple Rite Aid Video Values store coupon
$.25/1 Orbit Rite Aid Video Values store coupon
(2) $1/1 Mentos coupons from 10/9 SS insert
Paid $10.17, Got $4 in +UP Rewards
$6.17 after coupons and rewards

This is basically like paying $1.54 per box of storage bags and getting free Snapple and gum!

The Mentos seem to be printing a mysterious +UP Reward.  I bought 2 packs and received a $1 +UP Reward.  I’m not sure on the limit or even what other products might be triggering the reward.

Here are a few additional deals running this week:

Mentos UP2U Gum on sale $1
Buy 2, Get $1 +UP Reward (limit unknown)
Buy 2
Use (2) $1/1 coupons from 10/9 SS insert
Pay $0, Get $1 +UP
FREE + $1 overage after coupons and reward

Softlips (single pack) priced at $1.99
Buy 2, Get $4 +UP Reward
Buy 2
Use $1/2 coupon from 10/16 SS insert
Pay $2.98, Get $4 +UP
FREE + $1.02 overage after coupon and reward
*These should ring up with your Wellness+ discount, so up to $1.82 overage after coupon and reward

Reese’s Peanut Butter Trees (1.2 oz) on sale $.50
Buy 2
Use $1/2 Rite Aid Video Values store coupon
FREE after coupon

Holiday Peeps (1-1.125 oz) on sale $.50
Buy 2
Use $1/2 coupon
FREE after coupon

Leave a comment if you have found any other great deals this week.  I found some great inexpensive stocking stuffers in the holiday aisle as well!

Be sure to check out the rest of this week’s Rite Aid deals here.

Report on the Arm & Hammer spin brushes:
I bought 6 which cost $22.47 (I was going to get my way toothpaste-but both stores have been out & occurred to me this could work also) and got two $5 +ups (bought 4 first-got 5 up, then finished up with two more today & did get another $5 up-even though there is no report on the bottom of the slip-it is tracking).
So another $3 off with 3-$1 coupons. On the rebate you can either get $5/5 or buy a few more -toothpaste or brushes (& you have until 1/31/12 to finish it) & can get $10/8. Also they will make cute Xmas presents for kids-you decorate them yourself.

    Thanks for the post!
I bought 4 Purex fabric softener, 6 packs of orbit gum, 8 peeps, and 2 packages of ferrero rocher (12ct). My total was $11.57, of course I had to do several transactions and I did have someone else there to use their wellness card so I could buy that quantity. I also looked for the reese’s peanut butter trees but there weren’t any.

Well christ on a crutch, I haven’t been paying attention to Rite Aid lately, my paper hasn’t had the ad in it for at least a month now. 🙁 And this week’s paper didn’t have the Walgreens ad, either. Hope it’s not making that a regular thing, the coupons in The Daily News are skimpy as it is, I’ll just cancel the subscription and get a different one if they’re not going to have ads anymore as well.

But back on topic, looks like I need to hit up Rite Aid for a few things. Snapple is my absolute favorite, and I could go for some at $0.38 each. 🙂

Actually the Mentos is a monthly deal, buy 2 Mentos products, get $1up limit 4. If you did the Mentos buy 3 for $2 and got 6 for $4, you used 3 of the 4 limit. Sometimes, there’s a glitch in the system where it’s printing an additional Up (or 2), so you get 2 $1 Ups when you buy 4. I’m not sure if it’s really printing TWO when you buy 3 though. If you have not done this deal earlier in the month, then the limit is 4 Ups for the month.

I got the same mysterious Mentos +UP for buying the gum packs. I bought three packs, and two +UPs printed if I remember correctly, so I’m guessing the limit is two.

This looks to be a monthly +up also, if you can’t find them this week (the coupon expires 12/31).

          My Soft Lips report:
I have been to two stores now & the main area above the cough drops has the double pack-the single & also more double packs are on a side display- in different areas of the two stores.
both were out of the single packs-but this week the double packs are on sale for 2.99, so with the $1 coupon & $4 up/2 they are only $1 for two=4 items!! So I got one set & will watch for the single for my husband’s card. There is a limit of one +up on this.
