I know several of you have emailed me or commented that you’ve been struggling with the new changes in select test markets. With the +UP Rewards automatically loading to your card, you have much less control over when to use them and there have been some major issues with rewards not loading correctly.
It looks like Rite Aid has been listening to your concerns and has implemented a change. I can’t personally confirm this as I’m not in a test market, but according to a few of my readers, you can now call Rite Aid’s customer service and opt out of this new program. The way I understand it, if you choose to opt out, your +UP Rewards will go back to printing directly on your receipt.
There may be an online option as well, but again, I can not confirm this. Please share if you have been able to opt out of this new program. It sounds like the program didn’t go quite as smoothly as Rite Aid had hoped and they are trying to make amends. I did email customer service and haven’t heard back yet, but I wanted to get this information to you as soon as possible so you could make the updates to your account.

Update: This is directly from Rite Aid (thanks Faith!)
“We appreciate your ongoing feedback about our Load2Card +UP test. We have good news for those who have asked for the option to receive your +UPs on your register receipts rather than having them loaded on your wellness+ card. Starting today, all you need to do is visit your local Rite Aid store and ask the cashier to switch you to the paper +UP option. You will need to show your wellness+ card or give the phone number associated with your wellness+ account. You can also call 1-800-RITEAID to switch to paper +UPs.”
Be sure to check out the rest of this week’s Rite Aid deals here.
Thanks Addie, Faith and Heidi for bringing this to my attention!
