Rite Aid Store Guide
Use this Store Guide to learn the rules of playing the Rite Aid game. Go here for Rite Aid’s official Coupon Policy.
WELLNESS+ REWARDS PROGRAM
You must have a Wellness+ card to receive the sale prices listed in the ad and to receive +UP Rewards. Sign up online here or in your local store. Make sure you swipe your card every time you shop. Your purchases are automatically tracked online and you will receive one point for every dollar you spend.
- Bronze (250 points) – Receive 10% off all regular-priced Rite Aid brand products
- Silver (500 points) – Automatically receive 10% off all regular-priced items
- Gold (1000 points) – Automatically receive 20% off all regular-priced items
You can also receive free health screenings and additional printable coupons sent to your email inbox.
+UP REWARDS PROGRAM
These are coupons you earn by purchasing specific items or groups of items that can be used on your next transaction. They can be used towards any item in the store (with a few exclusions), much like a gift card. You CAN use coupons to lower your out of pocket cost and still receive your +UP Reward. They expire on average two weeks after you receive them, but you can use as many as you like in one transaction, as long as you don’t cut into the sales tax (which you don’t have to worry about if you’re in Oregon).
Crest Toothpaste on sale $2.49
Buy 1, Get $1 +UP Reward
Use $1/1 manufacturer’s coupon
Pay $1.49, Get $1 +UP Reward
$.49 after coupon & reward
SINGLE CHECK REBATES (SCR)
Every month, Rite Aid issues a Single Check Rebate booklet that shows all the different products that qualify for rebates. In your weekly ad, you will notice items have an “SCR” savings amount listed. For example:
Blistex Lip Ointment on sale $2.49
Buy 1, Get $2.49 SCR
You will receive the rebate in the form of a check, so you are getting the Blistex for free! You can also use manufacturer’s coupons with SCR items to turn them into a moneymaker.
This program is super easy. When you purchase qualifying items, submit your receipt information on Rite Aid’s website. No mailing in receipts or cutting out UPC codes. Between 24 and 48 hours after submitting, all your qualifying products will be listed in your account. At the end of each month, all your rebate items will be added together and you can request one rebate check.
This used to be Rite Aid’s main savings program, but it looks like they are moving more and more towards the +UP Rewards.
VIDEO VALUES PROGRAM
The Video Values program will also increase your savings. Sign up for a new account here. Watch short videos or commercials for various products to earn credits, plus get a coupon for the product shown. The coupons you receive are Rite Aid store coupons and can be stacked with manufacturer’s coupons. Each month, these coupons are reset with all new offers.
DOLLAR OFF TOTAL PURCHASE COUPONS
Rite Aid occasionally releases these coupons throughout the year, on top of the coupons that are available through Video Values. Their coupon policy clearly states that you only have to reach the total purchase amount ($20 or $25) BEFORE all coupons, so you can combine several “free after rebate” or high value +UP Rewards items to reach your total, then save an additional $5!
Sometimes, a few of these programs will overlap on a single item (or group of items) to really maximize your savings. Check out this deal idea (please note, this deal is not valid anymore, just an example). This was an actual sale item that ran a few weeks ago, so you can see how great Rite Aid can be.
