There are three levels of playing The Game at Rite Aid: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Truly your goal should be to hit the Gold Level because that is the one that offers the best perks. Reaching the bronze and silver status do little to nothing in stretching your dollars at Rite Aid. Go for the gold girls (and the few gentlemen who peruse the site)!
Starting this adventure fourteen weeks ago to see how far one could stretch $100 has been awesome. It has kept me playing the game for a number of weeks and today I reap the reward. Now do keep in mind that two of my family members have been known to use my Rite Aid card number to purchase some items, but the majority of purchases with my card are made by me.
My goal is to reach the 1,000 point level (or Gold Level) by the end of the year to ensure that I retain the 20% off the entire store discount for the 2014 calendar year. I am on track to reach that goal by mid-August (or at least by October if I slack a bit during the summer). I also plan to only spend about $75 more to reach that goal.
For reaching the Silver Level (500 points) I did receive an offer for a free one-year subscription to a magazine, a Restaurant.com gift card, a free Glucose and Total Cholesterol Screening from Quest Diagnostics, or a few other options. I think I will choose the restaurant option and take one of my family members on a date since they did help out now and then to get halfway to gold.
