Okay, so it’s confession time: I now have extra money to shop with each week because my husband is receiving a food stipend due to being out of town. So instead of him using it to go out to eat every day, I am planning on using about $30 of it to buy food for him, (and our cats this week) and then I have been making meals, freezing them and then taking them up to him.
Here’s my deal:
Chill Out at Home promotion:
3 Steamfresh Meals for two $7.99 each, used $2/1 from 3/8 insert
3 Steamfresh Vegetables $2.00 each, used Buy one Meals for Two, get one Veggie or Rice Free
1 DiGiorno Pizza $5.99, used $3.97 coupon from ad
and the rest:
21 lb. bag of Meow Mix, used $1/1
2 cans garbanzo beans $.89 each
3 cans olives $.99 each
Tostitos Chips $1.77 with ad coupon
head of green leaf lettuce $1.79
1 cream cheese $1.49
Total before coupons: $57.98
– $2.02 pizza ad coupon
-$1.23 chips ad coupon
– $2 Safeway double
– $10/$50 coupon
– $13 manufacture coupons
= $29.73 and received a $10 catalina on my next frozen food purchase
A little note on the Chill out at Home promotion that is going on all month, I believe:
The deal is to spend $25 and receive a $10 off your next frozen food purchase.
The $25 is met with the Safeway Club price, so before coupons and their ad coupons.
Here’s a scenario you could do today:
Buy 2 Meals for Two,
2 Steamfresh veggies or rice
1 DiGiorno Pizza
use two $2/1 on the Meals for two,
2 Buy one wyb a meals for two, get veggie or rice free,
1 DiGiorno Pizza coupon from Sunday? ad, takes off $2.02
= $15.97 and receive $10 catalina
There are tons of other scenarios to list and to be found. Let us know if you do a sweet one!
And to note, when you use the $10/$50 purchase, that particular coupon from last week is good before MC’s but after club prices and the in ad coupons. Funny how their coupons and promotions are all different on their requirements.
