Ready to start saving on your fuel purchases? Fred Meyer and QFC Customers in Idaho, Oregon and Washington can now save up to $1 per gallon at the pump by redeeming up to 1,000 Fuel Points at any Fred Meyer or QFC Fuel Center and at participating Shell stations. This offer is valid up to 35 gallons of fuel on one vehicle per purchase.
You earn one Fuel Point for every dollar you spend on qualifying items when you use your Fred Meyer Rewards Card or QFC Advantage Card. You also earn 50 points for prescriptions and you also earn double Fuel Points for every dollar spent on most third-party gift cards from the in-store Gift Card Malls.
Until now, you could only redeem 100 fuel points each time you filled up, for 10 cents off per gallon per fill-up at any Fred Meyer or QFC Fuel Center and at participating Shell stations. Under this new program, you can now redeem some or all of your fuel points, whichever you choose. For example, if you have 400 fuel points, you can choose to redeem 100, 200 or 400 fuel points for a discount of $.10, $.20, or $.40 off per gallon, up to $1 off per gallon at the pump.
Fred Meyer asked me to give this new program a try and let me tell you — it was easy! I just scanned my Fred Meyer Rewards Card at the pump and told the attendant that I wanted to use the entire $1 per gallon savings and filled up the van.
If you live outside Oregon and are trusted to operate the pump yourself, you will be prompted to select your desired savings (in $.10 increments) on the pump’s display.
Once you scan your card and make your selection, the displayed price will change so you know it worked. I saved over $15 on one tank fill-up with my $1 per gallon savings!
Fred Meyer, QFC, and Shell want you all to try out the new fuel rewards by giving one Frugal Living NW reader the following:
- 1,000 Fuel Points to try out the $1 per gallon discount
- $100 Fred Meyer or QFC Gift Card to start earning your own Fuel Points
- $50 Shell Gift Card to purchase that first tank of discounted fuel
