The Kmart $10/$20 coupon has been pulled from the website and most stores are refusing to honor it. FLNW readers and other blogs are hearing two reasons why it’s not being accepted:
- It was available for certain markets only — funny since the coupon states “good at all locations”
- It was obtained fraudulently — even funnier since it was available on the Kmart website
There are a few stores in the area accepting these coupons. Check the comments here and here before you hit the store. And even then, a store may stop accepting the coupon without warning.
Just another example of a corporation’s incompetence being blamed on the consumer.

I am so annoyed with stores and their coupon whims. Any way to make them know how mad we are?
I would call Kmart corporate and tell the how you feel about their stores not accepting a coupon that they put on their website.
Yet another reason why I don’t shop at KMart
It worked last night at the Gresham Fred Meyer, but today at 3:00 they would no longer take it. Perhaps the company should hire one of us to help them figure out how coupons are going to be used so they don’t make foolish mistakes that just make us mad. (Although I am quite happy with the diapers I purchased last night with the coupon.)
This is absolutely maddening. I used it yesterday at the Everett, WA store & it worked fine. Honestly, it was the first time I had set foot in a Kmart in 20 years (maybe longer). That coupon & the upcoming doubles event had me excited to give Kmart a chance at my business. But with a company so lacking in business ethics, I think I’ll spend my money elsewhere.
Oh, & I printed off a bunch of these. You can believe I’m going to call customer service on Monday & ask them to explain to me how I can’t use it now even though it states “any” Kmart & has an expiration date in May. My guess is they will HAVE to honor them.
So when you see or hear about another good way to get the best bang for our buck with the huggies coupons will you let us know?
Absolutely! I’ve read that there are good deals at Rite Aid and Walgreens starting Sunday. I’ll try to get you the info sometime Saturday.
They distributed more than one coupon.
One had an expiration date of 5/22…and the other 5/15…
The UPC codes were different.
It seems like they changed the coupon mid promo…in less than two days.
I’m not happy with Kmart about this situation either.
And I don’t usually shop there – even though I went once this week, and was able to use the coupon – I won’t go again for fear of wasting my time getting a deal from them, when they are flaky with their promos.
This would be a great story for Jesse Jones on King 5 news…he helps with consumer problems. I’ll submit it!
I’m also going to give Kmart Corp a call on Monday. I think the more people we get to call, the more they will understand the way they are presenting themselves as a company and damaging their reputation and credibility.
I hope FLNW updates us on the progress of this. Have you checked out KMarts facebook page. People all over the country are very angry.
They refused my coupon at Tualitin K-Mart. They told me it was a fraud and was illegal for me to use it. It really upset my daughter (10) who was with me because she thought they were accusing me of doing something illegal. I calmly said just throw it away and paid with my free gift card. When I use that up I will never darken their doorway again. Funny thing is I just bought an appliance from them this year, boy are the stupid to make people this angry.
I figured this coupon was too good to be true. I assume that they didn’t realize just how popular it would be!
