I tried too…I think they removed it…because I know I didn’t use that ecoupon and I tried 3 other people’s cards. Bummer Safeway!

I didn’t see the coupon, either, and came here to see if anyone else had problems. I was about to give up when I clicked back open the Safeway window and the coupon was there! I just loaded it. I hope I have better luck with it than Preachers Wife did.

Same here – it only took off 2.29 instead of 3.00 (I was in self checkout) and it removed it after the 5th on that was scanned (not the 10th one) I thought it was 3.00 off 10, was I wrong?
Also, I have ALWAYS had problems with the Smart Ones coupons not being accepted at my Safeway (back when I printed the $5.00 off 10 a few months back it didn’t scan either and they WOULDN’T push it thru) Same with this time- she did push it thru but I could tell she DIDN’T WANT TO. But she wouldn’t double it (even though it was supposed to be doubled) Still came out pretty cheap!

My eQ also came off as $2.29, very strange! But still a good deal!

I had the same problem with my printable coupon! It beeped & would only allow the cashier to take $2.29 off. I knew it probably would not be doubled, as it is against Safeways policy printed on the Doubles.

Does the $5 off 5 I saw in the add apply to this?

i tried this deal today. they wrote my Man. CP down to 3.98. she claimed that the computer couldnt take less than the value of the product..the Ecoupon worked as $2.29 also. how very strange. which didnt make sense because i was still paying over $6 OOP. so i went to customer service, and she said, that the cat was supposed to print $5 back… she gave me $5 cash instead. couldnt really complain.

This is about another good deal at Safeway:
you can combine 2 offers being made on their deli made-to-order sandwiches.

1. In this Sunday’s adv. – buy one deli sandwich and you get a store coupon for one FREE sandwich (limit 1 coupon per household;offer good 8/1 to 8/7)
2. Ongoing until 8/3/10, buy one deli sndwich and 1 bottle 20 oz. Coke soda, and get the soda FREE (you have to buy both in the same transaction).

So, to do this deal (buy them both by 8/3/10 for the FREE soda) :
Transaction #1 – buy a deli sandwich (for ex., “Tuscan Chicken”) and 1 bottle 20 oz. diet Coke; pay $4.99 for sandwich, get the soda free, and get the store coupon for a free sandwich
Transaction #2 – buy a deli sandwich (for ex., “The Pub”) and 1 bottle 20 oz. diet Coke, use your FREE sandwich coupon and the soda is FREE – so OOP is $0!

So in total, you get 2 sandwiches and 2 soda for $4.99 ! a good deal!

Has anyone figured out how to get this coupon? Seems like some can & some can’t? Or was it just for July?
