Albertsons Double Coupon Deals for February 26-28

by Angela on February 25, 2012

Doubles are here! Three this week that will arrive in the Sunday newspaper! These coupons (technically “Twice the Value” coupons) will double the value of up to three manufacturer’s coupons, up to $1 each. You’re out of luck if the coupon is valued at $1.01+. They are valid Sunday – Tuesday (2/26-2/28) — THREE days.

A big thanks to Coupon Connections, The Coupon Project, & Happy Money Saver for help in compiling these deals. Be sure to check each list for even more double coupon deals. Note that some prices may vary by store (especially prices on BOGO sales) and coupons vary by region.

I think there were $1/2 Chex Mix coupons at the bettycrocker.com website as well.

Thanks for the comprehensive Albertsons list. It will be hard to narrow it down to 3 items for me. Before another firestorm of controversy erupts, as it did the other day when someone complained about the posted value of the Quaker cpn, I have a few observations:
1. My Albertsons ad (SW Portland) doesn’t seem to show V8 Fusion or Chex Mix on sale. Also, the V8 links above do not have the cpn on the large 36-oz bottle, only the 6-pack of 8-oz V8 with energy. (The smoothie cpn is still listed in your FLNW database).
2. My Chex Mix cpn is for 40 cts, not $1 as listed above. Obviously those values vary from place to place. I checked bettycrocker.com and found no Chex Mix cpn there.
3. $4.99 after cpn/TTV IS a pretty good deal for Hormel pork loin, but sometimes you can do better at Safeway. Every couple of months they have it on $5 Friday. You can reduce that to $4 or $3.50 (with doubler) if you have an unexpired cpn. By the way, there was a $1 Hormel pork cpn in the 2-12 SmartSource circular that I’m saving to use the next time Safe has the loins for $5.
In the two months I’ve been using this site, I’ve learned to take the good (98%) with the bad (2%) and react accordingly. I really appreciate the work you ladies put into this, and I love sharing tips and opinions with fellow subscribers.

Adding to the list, Food Should Taste Good link is not a coupon

Reply

Michelle February 25, 2012 at 9:29 pm

Yes that link is a coupon. I just printed.

Reply

yvonne February 26, 2012 at 1:20 pm

From the link I pulled out a letter from the CEO with a few other links on the letter itself, I tried clicking all those links and nothing works. How did you do it?
We love those chips! My kids were disappointed that I couldn’t find the coupon. Please help.

Howard February 26, 2012 at 3:07 pm

I accessed the coupon by going to that link site and registering with the company. They then emailed me the coupon, although another option was to print it directly once I registered successfully. Ended up not using it today, but will hang on to it.

gloria February 28, 2012 at 9:32 pm

I also just printed the Food Should Taste Good

I have a coupon for $5 off a $25 dollar purchase. Do those before or after coupons??? I’m really interested in the propel water on sale this week!!!

Reply

Howard Groopman February 25, 2012 at 3:31 pm

I sometimes get mailed cpns from Albertson’s for $3 off $30 purchase AFTER all discounts and cpns are applied, so this may be similar.

Reply

Angela February 25, 2012 at 3:41 pm

I agree with Howard. Those coupons are usually the last ones to be scanned, so your total needs to be $25 after all other coupons.

Hi, I’ve been out of e alberstons doubler game since last summer. I thought I read something about them not handing out the doublers in store anymore. Is that correct? You have to get them from the paper? I am in Beaverton. Thanks!

Reply

virginia February 25, 2012 at 3:55 pm

yes – the doublers now come in the sunday paper – there are three on the bottom of each alberton’s ad

Reply

Howard February 26, 2012 at 7:26 am

They stopped handing them out in store months ago (I asked), probably to prevent abuse,

Reply

gloria February 28, 2012 at 9:37 pm

I can only suspect that they don’t hand them out anymore because some lovely couponers took and used way too many sets spoiling the program for those of us that purchase sensible amounts for our family and maybe a small amount of extra for donations. Now, we have to spend $2 to get $3 of TTV savings, so if this is the only reason you are buying the paper, it is sort of silly.

Reply

Shelly February 26, 2012 at 3:33 pm

Thanks for letting me know!

Reply

Leanna February 25, 2012 at 7:02 pm

I am so bummed about the TTV’s no longer being available in the stores. This is such a great list, but I just can’t make myself buy more than 1 paper this week. The coupons just don’t make the purchase of the paper worth it.

The Albertsons at Salmon Creek has some freezers on sale for $159.99. You also get $160 in coupons when you buy the freezer…many of the coupon items are for free grocery products….good deal if you need a freezer.

I’m having trouble finding the Revlon coupon in the 1/29 SS. I’m in Portland. Has anyone else from this area found it? Maybe its regional?

I have not seen a revlon coupon on the oregonian or the columbian for a while now.

I had a good trip this morning, too! Went to my local Albies (Padden Express/Vancouver) Did 3 sets of 3. They were out of the Albertson’s vegetables for .39 but are substituting Green Giant and had cases piled high in the aisle.
I got:
24 – cans of vegetables/tomatoes
2- Arm & Hammer laundry detergents
3- Kraft Indulgence Chocolate
3- Milk Bites Granola Bars – They are in the dairy aisle and were not showing the $2.49 price but did ring up correctly
5- Michelina’s Zap ‘Em Entrees
1- Kraft Philadelphia Cooking Creme
SPENT: $22.88
SAVED: $62.75

My trip to Albertson’s:
7 bottles Propel, 2 bags Doritos, 1 Quaker soft bars, 12 cans Alby’s veggies, 1 Grands biscuit breakfast bag, 1 gallon Alpenrose milk (used free cpn from a couple weeks ago). Total spent $11.23 + Propel deposits. Used 3 TTVs on Doritos, Quaker, Grands. HEADS UP: the milk was $4.19 but the cpn scanned at $4.50 off. Guess I could have bought the store brand for $3.19 and still gotten $4.50 off.

Reply

Donaca February 26, 2012 at 4:09 pm

They usually ring up the free milk coupon with the value of the milk your purchasing. The coupon usually states “up to $4.50″ so there is no overage on your purchase of milk.

Reply

Abby February 27, 2012 at 10:33 pm

It depends on the cashier. Some of the cashiers at my Albies will credit the $4.50 as long as you do not get money back, while others mark the coupon down to the price of the milk.

My Albertsons will not allow me to use 2 coupons on a BOGO item. I saw this on your coupon policy page

:: Albertsons will allow you to use one manufacturer coupon per item even if one coupon says FREE or there is a Buy One Get One promotion

Then I followed the link to Supervalu’s official coupon policy page, but could not find this line at all. I intended to print out their policy and show it to the cashier, can you help?

Crissy February 26, 2012 at 10:03 pm

I had a very successful trip this morning also! I got 4 bear creek soups, 5 boxes of the lipton tea ( was a lil disappointed tho, they are a 16ct. @ $.69ea) 4 bottles of the Vaseline intensive care lotions, 2 of the danimals crunchers. I did 5 transactions so used 15 TTV’s spent a total of $4.73 including tax. I think we can all agree THIS WAS A GOOD WEEK!

Courtney February 27, 2012 at 1:02 pm

Found boxes of Pampers Cruisers for 9.99 at Albertsons. use 1.50/1 and a doubler and get them for 7.50 a box (size 3′s are 76-count)

Howard February 28, 2012 at 9:12 pm

The doublers are only for cpns $1 and under, so it appears cashier made a boo-boo in your favor.
