If you have the $1 Minute Maid Pure-Squeezed orange juice coupon from the Kellogg’s $5 breakfast packs (from cereal boxes a few months ago, expires 3/31/13), you should be able to get free OJ on Sunday with the $1.99 Thurs-Sun OJ deal.

Yup, got 2!
Its not my hubbys fave, but free is a great price!

Thank you so much for the match ups this week! Cant wait for my Albies trip. Question: is there a reason why the Finish detergent coupon can’t be doubled??

Reply

Howard January 11, 2013 at 4:00 pm

Albertsons doubles only cpns up to $1 face value. Anything higher can be used but not increased in value with a TTV cpn.

DeAnn January 13, 2013 at 6:29 pm

There is a -.50 store coupon on the back of the weekly ad for the finish gel pacs, so makes for an even better deal $1.34

Howard January 11, 2013 at 4:04 pm

COMMENTS: go to bettycrocker.com (sign up if you haven’t before) and get higher-value cpns on many items than the newspaper. Chex Mix cpn is 60 cents, Yoplait Simplait is 40 cents. I think you can get two of each per month.
Be careful with the 50-cent Grands cpn listed above: it’s good only on sweet rolls, which I don’t think are included in the $1 sale. The ad pictures only Pillsbury cinn rolls and Grands biscuits.
If you don’t want 4 Progresso soups Sunday, there are $.50/2 and $.25/1 cpns in 1-6 SS. The 25-center is on light varieties only.

Thank you for the reminder Howard! I always forget to check good ol’ Betty Crocker. Can you continue to be my personal reminder for these types of things ;)

Reply

Howard January 13, 2013 at 1:44 pm

I’ll try :) I confirmed this morning that only the regular Grands biscuits and the Pillsbury cinn rolls are $1, so the Grands sweet rolls $.50/1 cpn won’t work here. There’s a $.50/2 cpn at bettycrocker.com on Pillsbury sweet rolls, but my store was out of the cinn rolls this morning.

Reply

Susan January 12, 2013 at 12:51 pm

There is one in tomorrow’s SS. Right on the front cover! :)

Reply

Howard January 12, 2013 at 2:22 pm

Sharp cashiers won’t allow the overage; it’s kind of hit or miss. I’ve gotten overage occasionally, but it might be against store policy. Overage cuts into/negates whatever profit they make on that sale.

Reply

LAF January 12, 2013 at 9:37 pm

I thought I saw somewhere Albertsons changed thier policy and now allow overage but I do not rememebr where.

Reply

Janie January 14, 2013 at 7:25 am

They allow overage from coupons, but not from doubler. Does that make sense? So say, cover girl lip gloss on clearance for $1, use with a $1.50/1 coupon equals $.50 overage! (this is totally hypothetical). But if you had to use a doubler to get the overage = no overage.

I saw that the arm and hammer 2x detergent is on sale for 2.99 on the wednesday ad. There’s a $1.00/3 coupon on the arm and hammer website. Combine it with a double coupon it will be $2.33 each. Is that a good price for Arm and Hammer Detergent?

I hit 2 albersons this morning and picked up

6 tony’s pizza – $2
3 Mrs. Butterworths syrups – $2.70 (hubby will LOVE ME)
6 Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls – Free
6 Kens salad dressings – Free

I was in and out of both stores in less the 30 minutes!

Reply

Howard January 13, 2013 at 1:56 pm

I’m curious what cpn enabled you to get the cinn rolls for free. The best one I could find online at bettycrocker.com was 50 cents on two. The one for 50 cents on 1 in 12-9 SS was for Grands only, at least in my Oregonian it was.

Reply

Laura, SW Pdx January 14, 2013 at 11:53 am

Which coupon did you use for the free rolls?

Reply

Howard January 14, 2013 at 4:32 pm

Someone named Nikole posted on this site earlier that she’d gotten free cinn rolls. I think maybe some people are using the 50-cent Grands sweet rolls cpn (the one from 12-9 SS incorrectly listed above as applicable here) on the Pillsbury cinn rolls and getting by with it. I don’t play that game. Grands are a Pillsbury product but are generally much more expensive.

Reply

Cheryl January 15, 2013 at 4:44 pm

Howard- i did see the sweet roll coupon. I noticed a picture on it that was for cinnamon rolls. So, are there different cinnamon rolls?

Reply

Howard January 15, 2013 at 6:42 pm

There are both Grands and Pillsbury sweet rolls. The Grands are of course larger and cost more. Both are Pillsbury products. Interestingly, one of the 2 pix on the 50-cent cpn looks to me like the regular Pillsbury cinn rolls, so maybe that’s why people are using it even though the text says Grands. My store was out of the Pillsbury cinn rolls Sunday, so I didn’t even bother with it.

Were the double coupons in today’s Sunday paper? I didn’t get an Albertson’s ad at all in my home delivered paper today.

Howard January 13, 2013 at 1:57 pm

If it was the Oregonian, then yes. I found mine inside the Big 5 ad.

Excellent! See my deals below. I also ran by Safeway to get the two 25.3-oz Filippo extra virgin olive oils for $5 (must load the $5 Friday J4U special price to your card and buy by today). $18.98 retail value for two of them; they are on BOGO special. And a fresh sourdough bread for 79 cents, yum.

3 transactions at King City store this morning:
4 Progresso soups $2; 2 Lance cracker creations $1, 2 Chex mix $1, 2 Dreamfields pastas $0, 2 La Vic tortillas $.98. Total $4.98. Also got 4.8 lbs of bone-in chik breasts (with raincheck from last week) for $4.74 and 3-lb bag of boneless chik breasts for $4.99 (special ending today).
Cluck cluck! Had to pass up the Simplait and Tony’s pizza–not enough TTVs.

Well, I lucked out today. I had a cashier that believe in overage. I never expected it. Once I saw she was into it (she said if the Kens are 3/$5, then she only wanted 2 of my doublers for the 3 bottles, totalling five bucks to the store.) I went through her line everytime and tried to match up the salad dressings just right to use the overage except i messed up twice which if I hadn’t would have made this apx $1.50 lower. But I did well= 35 items for $4.88! Great day for me at Albertsons. No syrup or cinn rolls though…sold out!

Yesterday on the way home, I stopped to use my TTV coupons. Only had 3 this week (neighbor didnt stop by with hers like she sometimes does). After I grabbed my 2 pastas and my tortillas, I was walking by the clearance rack. There was a lady standing there, so it drew my attention.I gave it a quick look thru… LINDSEY OLIVES!! Nice, I forgot to stop at Walgrens, but i had the coupon for $1 off. The last can (King City Albie’s) and it was $.99 perfect. So my total for all items was $0.48. I paid with my change.
