by Angela Davis on June 30, 2012

Doubles coupons are here! Here are the details on Albertsons double coupons:

  • Each double coupon will double the value of a manufacturer’s coupon up to $1 each, as long as you do not profit from using the coupon.
  • You can use up to 3 double coupons per transaction, up to 3 doubles transactions per shopping trip.
  • The double coupons are only available in the Sunday newspaper, not at the customer service desk.
  • Albertsons double coupons are technically “Twice the Value” coupons, which means they will double the value of coupons labeled “Do Not Double.”
  • Double coupons are not valid on coupons valued at $1.01+.
  • Albertsons will double an internet printable coupon.
  • These double coupons are valid Sunday-Wednesday (July 1-4).

A big thanks to Coupon Connections for help in compiling these deals. Be sure to her their list for even more double coupon deals. Note that some prices may vary by store (especially prices on BOGO sales) and coupons vary by region and newspaper. Not every deal or coupon listed will be available to you.

I believe the Albertson sales/prices change on Wednesday AM and the doublers extend through Wednesday PM this week…wondering..do you have any idea what the new sales will be starting Wednesday? Maybe I save some doublers??

Because of the holiday, Albertsons/Safeway/Thriftway ads run thru July 4, Weds. Used my TTVs, so I don’t recall if those were good for 3 or 4 days (I’m guessing 4). The new ads don’t begin till Thursday. I just peeked at Safeway J4U site, and it looks as if the deals might not be loadable till Thurs. Will recheck Weds.

The weekly deals and the double coupons run through July 4. The new ad starts Thursday this week.

I just came back from the Albertsons on 181st and I got mine for free. They have the small containers and they also had a Jumbo one that was more expensive.

I’ve been to two SW Pdx stores and have not located Kings Hawaiian for two bucks. Has anyone else? The larger size I’ve seen are 2/$6. The small 4 packs are $1.00 but the mfg coupon reflect 12 pack or larger and it’s $1/2 so I’m not finding this product for free with TTV. Are you?

Ro July 2, 2012 at 9:22 am

At my Albertsons it was not the rolls that were $2.00 but their hot dog and hamburger buns. I found then on a cardboard display by the deli.

Laura SW Pdx July 2, 2012 at 9:25 am

Okay, thank you, I’ll look for buns. Did you have to pay a buck for each pkg since the Mfg is $1/2? Not free..correct? If not free, I might hold out for another deal and use my doublers on more Planters!

Ro July 2, 2012 at 12:14 pm

The coupon I had was $1. so free with Twice the value coupon. Also had a manufacturer coupon for -buy 1 Wholly product and 1 Kings Hawaiian product, get free ground beef (up to $3.50).

The Albertsons on the 10th Street exit in West Linn has a Toyota promotional thing in the parking lot. You receive $20 in Albertsons gift cards if you test drive a Prius in the lot. All they required was my name and email. Although I did have to show my drivers license but they did not write down any information off it. Also at least the guy that did the test drive with us was not pushy! To me $20 is not always worth a pushy sales pitch but we just received our info and gift cards and were on our way.

Re Lay’s chips: the 55-ct cpn is from commonkindness.com. You have to establish an account with them, and can print NO MORE THAN ONE LIKE COUPON in a 6-month period.

Reply

Howard July 1, 2012 at 3:21 pm

Also, I know some stores accept two cents-off cpns on a store BOGO, but that’s a little shaky to me. To each his/her own.

Reply

Angela July 2, 2012 at 9:45 am

It’s really up to the store. Albertsons has it in their policy that they will accept a cents-off coupon on the free item as long as you don’t profit.

Howard July 1, 2012 at 2:06 pm

A few clip-out cpns in the Sunday ad that didn’t appear Weds.:
Super Chill 2-liter soda, 50 cts, limit 4.
Hillshire Farms sausage, $1.99 (no limit).
Ball Pk Angus or Heb Nat dogs, $3, limit 4.
My two orders cost a total of $20.35, and I also got 27 game pieces.
8 bottles Super Chill soda, 2 boxes Better Cheddars, 2 BP Angus dogs, 2 Hillshire sausage ropes, 2 bakery doughnuts, 3 Twizzlers (the chocolate flavor is to die for), 1 Propel water, 1 Duncan Hines brownies, two La Vic taco sauce bottles, 1 Klondike bars, 2 Barilla pastas. A better haul than the 12 days of Christmas. And if the floods come and Noah calls me for provisions, I’ll have two of just about everything.

Reply

Steph July 1, 2012 at 2:23 pm

Okay, Howard, I’ve seen you rave about these chocolate Twizzlers several times now, so I guess I’m just going to have to try them. You know what my next question is going to be, though…is there a coupon to go along with it? ;)

Reply

Howard July 1, 2012 at 3:17 pm

Mais oui, madame. 5-20 SS, $1/3, exp 7-13-12. If you buy these as part of the Buy 10 Save $5 deal, they are only $2.47 for 3 with the TTV. I bought one strawberry to keep my non-chocoholic wife content.

DEANNA July 1, 2012 at 4:32 pm

Howard, you make me lol.

Reply

Howard July 1, 2012 at 6:24 pm

Thanks. If I had a nickel for every time someone told me that…I’d have about 85 cents.

Terrific compilation of the doublers this week. As noted earlier, the Sweet Baby Ray’s cpn expired Saturday. Also, Nabisco snack crackers are $1.99 (the Weds ad stated 3 for $5, but there is a disclaimer posted on the shelf, and the Sun ad has the right price), but are only 99 cts each if you buy two and use the $1/2 cpn at coupons.com.

Reply

Noelle Linden July 1, 2012 at 12:04 pm

Did the sweet Ray’s coupon expire 6/30? I cleaned out my coupons and remember that being one that I hated to see go. Am I wrong?

Reply

Howard July 1, 2012 at 1:47 pm

Correct, the $1/4 expired 6-30

Reply

Bri July 1, 2012 at 9:06 am

Just a note on the Lance Crackers – I was going to get some last week with my doublers at the Sherwood Albertsons, and I realized that the flavors on sale had expired in May. There were actually 4 flavors available, but only the expired ones were on sale. (Not Clearance, by the way, but just on sale.)

Awesome list of grocery coupons, thanks.

JAZ June 30, 2012 at 5:47 pm

Alberts face book page says you people can only useonly use either the meat coupon or the sauce coupon, not both on the same items, even though they are technically not off the same item. So other suites might allow it but corporate and stores near me say no,

Reply

Steph June 30, 2012 at 7:59 pm

The coupons may be for different things (i.e., one is for money off of marinades; the other is for money off of beef), but they are both Kikkoman coupons. (That is, Kikkoman is the one who is ultimately reimbursing the stores for these coupons.) That being said, when it comes to using multiple types of coupons in a single transaction, I always check to see who is doing the final reimbursement. If the company is the same (like the above scenario), my thoughts are: don’t do it. Just because a company puts out different types of coupons at one time doesn’t mean they want you to overlap them.

Reply

JAZ July 1, 2012 at 11:23 am

I just ask at the store or on their face book page

Reply

Steph July 1, 2012 at 2:19 pm

If I had a nickel for every time a store employee gave me bad information regarding a coupon…well, I’d have no need to coupon anymore. ;) Seriously, though, if you ever have any questions about using a coupon, call the manufacturer instead. They know far better what their intentions are for their coupons than any grocery store.

Reply

Otto July 1, 2012 at 12:50 pm

Kikkoman itself is addressing this issue. Read the internet printable coupons: “Limit one coupon of any kind per purchase of items described.” That is pretty specific – per purchase of Kikkoman, you can use only ONE coupon – either $XX off Kikkoman or $XX off something else WYB Kikkoman.

Great insight Steph-I think that is great advice.

Lauren July 1, 2012 at 4:17 pm

I went to one of the Vancouver stores and bought 3 soy sauces @1.29 each and a single hamburger patty @ 1.50 (from the butcher dept). I was able to use all 3 of the $0.55 Kikkoman coupons AND the $2 off fresh beef coupon, but after scanning the $2 coupon the $0.55 coupons were removed from the transaction. Which means both coupons probably should not be used together, but the cashier pushed it through anyway. So I got (3) Kikkoman 5 oz soy sauces and (1) hamburger patty for $1.93 money maker after doubled coupons.

Last week you guys put Tribe Hummas as being $1.99, but when I went to the 181st Albertson’s in Portland, OR I could not find any for that price. They were $3 something. I even asked the guy and he said no Tribe Hummus for $1.99-I haven’t heard that?? So, where is this Tribe Hummus for $1.99?

Reply

Terry July 2, 2012 at 8:16 am

I asked this last week-same thing!

Reply

Jodi July 2, 2012 at 9:12 am

It’s 1.99 at my store in Eugene.

Reply

Kristina July 2, 2012 at 2:20 pm

Update: I just got back from Albertson’s and the Tribe Hummus this week was $1.99, like you have posted. I was so happy to get one for free and so was my neighbor!! Thank you guys!!

Ashley July 3, 2012 at 9:45 am

It was $1.99 at my Albies off 4th Plain and Stapleton this week as well. So glad I had my coupons with me for them :)
