Oh, I cant wait til Sunday morning. I have 2 coupons I got from the register last week $1.50 off $9 or more and $1.50 off $10 or more.
Hope it works.
Also have a $1.50 catalina.
My goal is to get as much as possible for $14.50 out of pocket.
2 times thru the register.
I might make it 3 times, since their is the catalina still for Campbells Cream of soups. Buy 5 get $1.50 cat. This would make them 9 cents each.
.79 x 5= 3.95 -$1/4 coupon = $2.95 -doubler $1 = $1.95 out of pocket, then $1.50 catalina. Final price $0.45/5
Has anyone ever had one of the $1.50 off $10 print outs from the register at Albertson’s? Does the $10 amount mean before or after Mfc Coupons? Can I use it with another $1.00 of catalina?
Do I have to use it at the same store?
I was woundering the same thing. I have a few $1.50 off $15 I’d like to use it on the Butterball deal
I think I will call the store after work today and ask my questions. I will let you know what they say. I will be calling Sherwood store. Unless I have to use it at King City where I got it.
My store rings up 1.50 off 10.00 before Q but cant dbl this one since it is a store Q however o have used these with manQ without any issues.
You can use those cats at any store. Pretty sure if you read the fine print it will say it applies AFTER all other cpns and discounts, although I have seen cashiers scan these ahead of mfr cpns. I think you can combine these in one transaction, not sure about that, but it should work.
It will work before coupons although it says differently.
When it says, “…after all coupons and discounts,” it’s only referring to any other store coupon(s) or discount(s). The reason they do this is because, hypothetically, you could purchase ten dollars’ worth of items, use a $1.50 off $10 store catalina AND one or more store coupon(s), and wind up getting two different discounts on the same items, both of which ultimately come out of Albertsons’ pocket. If you are trying to reach a minimum requirement in order to use a catalina (i.e., $1.50 off $10), make sure that you are over $10 AFTER using your store coupons, then use your store catalina, and finally, your manufacturer coupons.
I called the store and they said yes I could use it at any store.
The gal also told me I should be able to use it before Mfc coupons if I just hand the cashier that one first. I will be nervous…but we will see.
All you do is run your stuff through before you give your albertson’s card. Then scan your catalina and then your card.
Cheryl, is the “great for cooking soups” included in the catalina? I thought it was just for the condensed soups… If they are included that would be awesome!
Fabiola-
Thanks for the heads up. I reviewed queen bees site and found a picture of the catalina. It did say not valid on the great for cooking.
Thank you. Oh well. 29 cents is good.
Ok, so the $1.50 of $9 is after coupons.
I did 3 transactions.
2 pasta, 2 jalapeno pepper jars $2
4 cruton bags, 3 bananas, 3-4 onions, 4 cream of soups tea. About $2.69
2 turkey bacons, 1 lb pork ground pork sausage, 4 packs steamer veggies, 1 box tea. About $6.69
I used 9 coupons with doublers, thanks to my neighbor, $2 off produce, $2 off meat, $1.50 of $9 and $1.50 catalina to get these prices.
Final was just under $11.
Couldn’t use my other $1.50 off $10, but so happy because I expected a total around $16. Yahoo!
Of course I had to go back to the store because my sweet husband was helping bag and he bagged up some display items that we did not buy. I had to laugh. He was embarrassed.
How does that dog treat brggin bacon strips coupon work? If the stores promotion is bogo and the coupon is bogo wouldn’t it just make the same one free or have to still pay for it? Can someone break it down for me and how it works?
Albertsons lets you use a BOGO Q on a BOGO sale item making both items free.
I did this deal on Wednesday, the coupon is good for Buy 1, Get 1 free (up to 3.75). They are priced at 3.99 a bag, so you would pay .24 cents for every 2 bags you get. Which breaks down to being .12 cents a bag. I got 8 bags and only paid .96 cents OOP.
The Albertsons in Oregon City does not allow a bogo coupon on a bogo sale.
I used a bogo MQ on a bogo sale with the razers a while ago. I had no problem with it…
These will be great next time I’m in the doghouse.
Nice Howard. Nice. Good for a smile and snack when you mess up ….. thanks
Just remember that the beggin’ strips coupon has a max value of $3.75 so you are paying $3.99 – $3.75 = $.24 (plus sales tax where applicable). Also, don’t count on the stores having these in stock – plan to pick up a raincheck if they are out.
When a store has a BOGO sale, basically what they’re saying is, “This week, we’re okay with you buying two, but only paying for one.” When you have a manufacturer BOGO coupon, basically what they’re saying is the same thing. Generally, if you look on a manufacturer BOGO coupon, there is a place where the cashier fills in the cost of the item…that is what the manufacturer reimburses the store. (Usually there is a maximum amount, so that the store doesn’t charge some ridiculous amount for the item.) So, what winds up happening is the store sells you two items, charges you only for the first item (the second becomes your free item), and the BOGO coupon then pays for the first item (up to the maximum), which the store then gets reimbursed for by the manufacturer. Love it!
I just start couponing at Albertsons and I have a question that I hope someone can help me with. In the Albertsons ad of 11/14 there is an offer that says 10 for 10. There is also an offer that is 10 for 10 mix and match. Now I understand that on the mix and match that you have to buy 10 participating items in total to get the discount. However what about the offer that is just 10 for 10? Do you have to buy 10 to get the $1.00 price per item? Any help would be appreciated.
10 for 10 just means they are priced at 1.00 each. You don’t have to buy 10 items.
You don’t have to buy 10 in the 10 for $10 deals.
Sometimes they have a reminder in the ad saying mix and match, buy one, buy two, buy as many as you like. But it’s really just a marketing ploy to make one think she has to buy 10.
darn it I feel like a fool now I have been buying ten items. Grrrr… Guess I still have alot to learn. Just when I think I’m getting the hang of all this.
My knorr recipe/sauce/gravy mix coupon is for $0.50/2 … maybe the $0.50/1 is regional?
Mine is $0.50/2 also…bummed I won’t get it free but $0.50 each isn’t a bad price. Might pass on this one, though, and use my TTV’s on more Progresso Recipe starters.
Does anyone know if the Butterball catalina will roll??
Nicole- I am laughing on that one. Your wording struck me.
If a Butterball is good and plump I am sure it will roll.
Sorry, I know you are looking for a real answer, but I had to share the laughter on that one.
Cheryl- Lol! I think I’m going to be plump enough to roll after all these butterballs!!
Nicole-Yes, the Butterball catalina rolls. I did it 6 times already
Thank you Jamie!!
Was the Beggin Strip coupon regional? I got the ss insert that week but I don’t have that coupon (I live in Albany,OR).
Was there a SS insert on 11/14? I think that was a Tuesday. Did you possibly mean 11/11? Or did I really miss something?
I am looking for the Beggin strip coupon for my puppy….
Nevermind. Just saw that it says 10/14, not 11/14. I need more sleep.
Just a heads up the bogo for begging strips has a 3.75 limit on it so every 2two you buy will cost you .24 cents
I could not find the Libbys coupon and for the Quaker Oatmeal Target mobile coupon has a buy 2 get 1 free and you can use your 50 cent off coupons making them cheaper than what it would be here. Also the Knorr recipes I had a 50c/2 coupon not 50c/1. Am I missing something?
catalina for $2.00 is printing out when you buy 10 of the fuze drinks.which are on the mix and match when you buy 10 for .50 cents each.
I could just hug that catalina machine! In the course of my transactions I scored the following coupons:
(2) $1.50/$9; (2) $1/$3 produce; $2 off meat; $1.50/ frozen food; $2/ pretzels (free bag); free eggs; and a free 2 Ltd of soda! Not every transaction pumped them out fyi.
Did anyone else experience some magic?
Yes, yes, and yes! I love all the Albertsons coupons lately. I must be on Santa’s good list this year…whew, finally!
What store did you go to that you found the Turkey Roasts at? I live in Vancouver and the one off Padden Parkway doesn’t have them…. I work in Gresham so I can hit the one off 181st and the one in Troutdale to get them because it’s a great deal. I just don’t want to run around trying to find them… the one in Vancouver did not even have any clue about what I was talking about when I asked them, lol.
Becky the one off of padden never has anything except the best cashier ever Julie . Try the one in salmon creek.
I’ll have to check that one…. I have only gone to it once… and you’re right they rarely ever have anything (but I do admit their clearance meat is amazing! I have picked up enough to stock my entire freezer for quite a while for almost nothing), but it’s right down the street from my house so it’s more convenient for me to go to. And I’ve checked the freezer too, never found them… but I will certainly check that one, thanks =)
I go to that store too and I love Julie!
Julie is great!
I was able to get one at the Padden Parkway Albertson’s this morning – they were in the frozen section, mixed in with the turkeys……..this was one of my better experiences at Albertson’s as I was actually able to use all of my coupons and everything was in stock.
FYI, the butterball roasts are in the freezer aisle, not by the turkeys.
Location of the roasts varies by store. My smaller Albertsons (NW West Union) has them mixed in with the turkeys.
General question… Was it only red plum that came in this weeks paper?
No, there was a SmartSource as well.
there was a Red Plum this weekend? Shoot I’ll have to dig my 5 papers out of the bin b/c I only saw the Smart source.
There was only a smartsource and doublers in this paper. No red plum.
The question was posted Saturday, so I believe Angela’s reply was in reference to the prior Sunday paper, Nov 11, which had RP and SS. Today, Nov 18, had just the SS.
If anyone uses SavingStar there is a $1 thingy for Maries that you can add to your card also. I am new to SavingStar so have no idea really how it works. Just saw that it matched up with this.
Because SavingStar is linked to your card, you may not be able to combine it with a mfr cpn (although I think it MIGHT work, because it’s a delayed saving). You can’t take money out of SavingStar acct till you hit $5 bal.
Now that I think of it, I used Lipton and Pure Leaf tea cpns this summer at Albertsons, and also got the SavingStar money credited.
Nobody is really talking about the Spend $50 in one transaction, get a 5% off your next purchase coupon. This coupon is a barcode to scan that prints at the bottom of your receipt. If you are spending $50 to get a turkey, you will get this coupon – you can use it on your second transaction of any amount (if you use it on your next $50 transaction you will get a new one.) The five percent is discounted BEFORE coupons!
I have never spent more than $20 at Albertsons per month, not to mention $50 per transaction. I only shop there for the TTV. I am sure other’s will agree that one needs a lot of help spending $50 without buying overpriced items.
Yvonne- me too. I only go for the twice values. Seems like a lot of times prices are so high. And I end up frustrated. I am not as comfy in these stores either.
Has anyone worked out any other scenarios to go with the turkey roast other than the canned milk?
There’s a $1/2 coupon for the libby’s pumpkin in 10-28 RP from what I hear. You can also go to verybestbaking.com coupon section for coupons on the milk as well as the nestle morsels. Not sure how the final prices work out though.
Question:
At albertsons right now they have playtex tampons for 7.69. There are the b1g1, plus the 1.00 off 1. Now albertsons also has their own 2.00 off 1 manufacturer coupon. Can all of those be combined with the double to bring the cost down to 1.69 for 2 boxes?
If the Albertson’s coupon is a manu coupon and not a store coupon-you can NOT combine it with the manu $1 coupon-look closely & see if it might be a store coupon (usually written across the top).
Does anyone know how the doublers work? Can I got through the checkstand and buy all my items at once as long as I have enough doublers to match my coupons? I heard somewhere you want to use your doublers, then you can only buy 3 items at a time. If that is the case, I am just wondering how the above listed deal would work the. (where u buy 10 of the promotional items, you get $5.00 back)
Raven
You can use 3 doublers per transaction. So on the buy 10 you can buy 10 items but only double coupon on 3 of them. You can then do 2 more separate transaction with doubles (if you have them) in a given trip from what I understand (I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong:)
Yes Glen you are correct
So I have the $3.00 off any BB turkey with purchase of 4 packages crescent rolls, green giant canned veggies, Betty Crocker stuffing or boxed potatoes manufacturers coupon. Anyone know any good deals to take advantage of that other than the crescent rolls. I’m not finding coupons for any of the others.
the betty crocker potatoes r 1.49 and there are .50 off coupons with the TTV u would do this :
butter ball turkey lets say 20.00 on a turkey
use $3.00 off store coupon for turkey AND the 3.00 off
butter ball manufacturer turkey coupon
4 boxes betty crocker potatoes (5.96)
(2) .50 off 2 coupons they are in an insert
2 doublers
pay : 17.96 and get back $10.00 catalina
Thanks for response:) We ended up going earlier. I only had one of the potato coupons and the price they were I would’ve paid more trying to get the coupon vs generic potatoes so I gave up on it. Still good deals today. Ended up just getting enough for the 39 cent a lb 2nd turkey. Gonna be doing a lot of freezing lol
I did not get any TTV today in my two Sunday papers. Am I the only one?
Today they are on a full size albertons piece of newspaper feeling ad folded in half but they are there, I almost missed them though!
There hasn’t been any in the Albany Democrat Herald (Albany OR) for 2 weeks now. However the Oregonian and Statesman did had them.
LisaAnn- I dont think I have ever seen doublers in the Albany Democrat Herald. Thats why I either buy the Oregonian or Statesman for doublers.
The Herald does not carry the doublers, only the bigger papers.
Could not print Dreamfields cpn, maybe because I’d done it earler. Also, the SteamFresh 35-cent cpn is for whole grain products only. Guess I can eat healthy this one time.
Albertsons on NE 25th sold out of the $10.99 BB. They tried to order more and distribution is out. I told the lady about the promo and she said it was the first they heard and that would explain why they had none at 10am this morning – normally they know of these amazing coupon deals and plan accordingly. So if you bought more than one at my Albie’s this morning, boo!
None of the small ones were left in Keizer. The meat counter guy said someone came in and bought 27 of them and that they would be out till tuesday.
Glen…I was at the keizer store at 6 am this morning and there were 4 in the freezer. I got 2, another lady by me got one and there was still one left when I walked away. Not sure how someone got 27…but there were a few left real early. Hope you get one one Tuesday. Good luck.
We went ahead and bought an 11 pounder. Luckily have some freezer space. The meat counter guy said it was for some kinda food giveway on the 27, not sure when they bought them. The checkout lady said there were a few this morning left. It’s what we get for sleeping in
Honey Bunches of Oats is $2.50 & I had a $1.00 cat (from a while ago-so check your stash) & it is a manu coupon, so doubled & I got
cereal for .50
Today I used my $10 catalina (from the BB promotion) combined with my $5 reward plus a $3 huggies coupon to get a $20,72count box of diapers for my grandson. Paid $1.99 plus tax love to help out when I can
there is 1.00 off (1) dr. pepper 12 pack or dr pepper ten 12 packs on smartsource.com they are 4 for 12.00 use 4 $1.00 off coupons 3 doublers and pay 5.00 for 4 = 1.25 each awesome deal!
Very nice price
Don’t forget about the $5 butterball rebate!!! Found the deal in November All you magazine. Find the mail in form at http://www.butterball.com/savings …. I had to look around a little bit to find the print out form link, but it is there.
I got a 5.5 lb turkey retailed at $18.26 for $3.26!!!
Happy Holidays All!!!
Thanks for reminder. Completely spaced that.
If it is the one I saw-the “rebate” on the fine print is 5-$1 coupons-good on any butterball product -which I believe is only meat-correct me if I am wrong-so didn’t look too impressive to me.
Nice trip to Alby’s today (3 transactions):
11.1 lbs yams, $5.34 (48 cts a lb)
2 Bear Creek pasta mixes, 98 cents for both
Intl Creamer, free, 1 cent overage.
2 Steamfresh bags, 60 cents for both.
1 Celestial Seasonings tea, 50 cents
2 Sara Lee pound cakes, $2 for both.
1 Mrs. Smith’s pie, $1.50
Total spent $10.91.
I had to laugh at the yams-they were called Jumbo & truly I have never seen any so big before! They do look really good though:-)
