We are proud to be apart of The Grocery Gathering over at BeCentsAble, posting for Albertsons stores in Oregon & SW Washington.
Here’s the big news: Albertsons corporate has a new official policy on their double coupons (technically Twice the Value coupons): all stores will now double “Do Not Double” coupons up to $1 with their Twice the Value coupons (Thanks, KCL!). With this news, let’s start shopping!
Albertsons doubles are in the Sunday paper. They should have more sheets at your store’s customer service desk (you may have to ask for them as sometimes they hide them behind the counter). You can use up to 3 double coupons in each transaction. They will double the value of a coupon up to $1, but only on coupons valued up to $1. It’s a no-go on coupons valued at $1.01+.
Here are a list of double coupon scenarios, with big thanks to Fistful of Coupons, Fabulessly Frugal and Coupon Connections NW. I will update this post with new deals that surface over the weekend:

Thanks so much for getting this information together!!
Just got back from Albies where I found the Hormel packaged Center Cut Loin Filets were BOGO… They are usually $10.99 each. Using 2 $1/1 Hormel coupons & 2 doubles brought the loins down to $3.50/each!
I was also happy to stumble across Infusium that was marked down to $4.01 each. There was a $3/1 coupon in last weekends paper that brought this down to $1.01. Not free =) but close for a pretty decent shampoo!
My Albertsons stores don’t know about the new doubler policy, is there a place I can find it to know for sure its good?
I just used the link for the Scotties coupon and it printed a $1.00 coupons, not a 50 cent one. Pretty cool!!
I spoke today with a manager at West Linn Albertson’s, who has heard nothing from corporate of this policy change. He says if there were truly a corporate change in policy, he would be the one to be notified, and that their store’s policy is that they will not apply a “twice the value” coupon to a DND manuf coupon. So I guess this is one of those “your mileage may vary” deals for the time being.
But I still scored some super sweet deals today!!!
KC BBQ Sauce is on sale for $1.99… use the $1 off coupon 5/9 SS and a double to score FREE BBQ SAUCE!!!!! Oh Yeah!!! I picked up 9 free bottles of it this morning!
I had the same problem in Mac. They said nothings changed except that they wouldn’t double coupons with a value over a dollar. I couldn’t double my DND coupons…
hi sarah- i called mac this morning because i shop there too and didn’t want to have issues with the DND. I talked to Brian (or Ryan), who is a manger, and at first he said no, we won’t double them, then he called me back and told me he was wrong. They WILL double a DND and he said everyone should know now and I shouldn’t have problems when I come in!
Lisa
Seriously?? Hmm, I might have to go back again
I was a bit irritated. And the girl that was there last night acted like I was an idiot for even thinking the policy was changed! Thanks for letting me know who in the store knows what they are talking about!
I checked into the double the DND manufacture coupon issue. I called corporate.
The manager of my local store called me this morning and said that as of Wednesday the 19th, they will be honoring the new policy. He said if a store didn’t know they could check the (Portal, I think he called it) updates they get from corporate. This does seem to be a real deal. Hopefully everyone gets on the same page soon.
In Oregon City I found a “Try Me Free” MIR for Reynolds Grill Foil when you buy it with any other Reynolds Wrap Foil product. I bought it with the Recylcled foil, so will get it for free after $3.99 rebate.
Ya, he acted the same way with me this morning when I called.(like I was crazy) Then I started telling him about it being all over the internet and that they should have gotten something from corporate. Hope it worked out for you!
It did. I also talked to Lindsey…? She spells it different but can’t remember how. She said the whole doubling coupons that are only up to a dollar is wrong. (I was told that, not sure if it was on here too or just if a cashier had told me that before. ie, you can’t double a 1.50 off coupon.) But that is totally wrong. And if anyone says that you can’t do it, have them talk to her. I think she’s (one of?) the managers.
I found Reynolds Heavy Duty Foil 50 ft on clearance (whaa??) for $2 yesterday at the West Linn store. I had some IP’s for $1/1 (which did not say DND), and scored some high quality foil for free! There is also an .85/1 in one of the 5/16 inserts (not sure which), which would make it .30/each, which is still a terrific price for a 50-ft roll of heavy-duty foil.
Tobasco at mac and Hillsboro is 1.79 on sale
The manager the Lake Oswego (State Street) store told me this morning that absolutely, the new policy is that customers may use Twice The Value coupons on “DND” manuf coupons. Yay! When I asked her why the West Linn store manager told me this was not corporate policy, she said “he must have not been listening to the conference call with corporate last week.” I know where I’m doing my Albie’s shopping from here on!
For those who LOVE yogurt and eat a lot of it… We decided to do the GM promo where you buy $20 and get a $5 cat. I originally thought that I would be buying them at .25 after coupons and cat, but 2 extra cats printed to make them 18.5 cents a piece.
42 yoplait yogurts (yogurt expires June 15) = $21
Use 3 .50/8 and double
Use 3 .40/6
coupon savings = $4.20
OOP $16.80, get $5 cat and 2 $2 cats
When I was in Albies’ trying to use my double-coupons, I came across a really good sale price on PopSecret popcorn.
The 3-pack boxes are on sale for $1 each!!! (reg. price is $3.19). wow! even without using any MQ’s or doublers, this is good price for $1 a box.
If your going out tonight, my Danonino Yogurt coupon was denied because it expired on 5/2. Just be careful.
Took my 3rd trip to Albertsons in the last 3 nights…. looked around to see what else was a good deal w/ doubles. Got Athenos 4 oz feta cheese for 99 cents, and Ritz pretzel crackers also 99 cents. They let me “double” my $1.50 off 2 Mission products, making it $2.50 off two, and Mission corn chips were on sale for $2, so after coupon and doubles 75 cents.
I work at Albertsons and I know that our store has not been notified of the change. So I would definitely call your store in advance to see if they have been notified yet.
Don’t assume it’s a true change in policy unless you can get legitimate copy of Albertsons policy.
Coupon fraud is popping up everywhere lately and you don’t want to be made an example of by assuming and presumption.
Just saying….
anyone know what the policy of the stores in Keizer and Wilsonville are? tia
