U.S. Bank Gobble Up To $75

by Angela on November 24, 2009

U.S. Bank is working hard to earn new customers again! Until December 4, open a checking account at an in-store U.S. Bank branch and receive $75. Seriously. Free money. I’m not exaggerating. Here’s what you need to do:

1. Open a checking account at any U.S. Bank in-store branch (not sure if this offer extends outside the Portland Metro are). You must deposit at least $50, though you should put $75 in to take full advantage of the deal.

2. Use your debit card to make a non-PIN purchase of up to $75 anywhere. The easiest way to do it is to immediately buy $75 worth of gift cards at Albertsons with your new debit card and take the receipt right back to the counter — do it all in one trip.

3. Bring the receipt(s) into your branch by January 3, 2010 and the $75 will be credited back to your account.

This offer is valid for new customers only (you must not have received other U.S. Bank offers in the past six months). If you’re an existing customer, refer a friend and get entered into a drawing for a free snowboard.

If you live on the eastside of Portland, I cannot recommend the Sunnyside branch enough (147th & Sunnyside Rd in Clackamas/Happy Valley). They will totally walk you through this deal and make sure it works for you. Feel free to tell your teller that you heard about this deal from Frugal Living NW!

THANK YOU for posting this!!! It made my week :) It was so easy – just took about ten minutes to open the account, then I went and bought $75 worth of gift cards, then gave them the receipt! The offer ends tomorrow (Friday)!

I went to the 257th & Stark branch in Albertsons and they were great.

Does the 75 dollars automatically the same daygo back on or does it take an alloted time.

Hi, do you think if it’s ok if i buy a 75$ gift Visa gift card? Because you know you can use that money anywhere and even withdraw the 75$ from the card as well. Thank You.
