Fred Meyer Coupon Policy

by Kate on March 20, 2011

It’s here! An official Fred Meyer coupon policy.  Print this a keep it without coupon stash to have on hand if you have any problems at the store.

Important notes from the policy:

  • Fred Meyer will accept Catalina coupons printed with another retailer’s name, including $ off your next transaction Catalinas.
  • Fred Meyer will accept valid, current print-at-home coupons.
  • Fred Meyer will NOT accept FREE product internet printable coupons that do not require any other purchase.
  • Fred Meyer will not accept competitor’s coupons.
  • There is NO mention of eCoupons (you can find more information about stacking at Fred Meyer here)

Remember, coupon policy is subject to change at any time and coupon acceptance is still up to the discretion of a Store Manager, which means they have the right to deny any coupon for any reason.

Thanks, Frugal Chic Living!

New to couponing. What are Catalina coupons?

Reply

Kimberly March 20, 2011 at 2:24 pm

Catalina’s are the coupons that print at the register when you make a purchase. Catalina refers to the company that runs that.

Elsie,..those are the ones that print out at the register that they hand you with your receipt.

I just got off the phone with someone who works there that was extremely rude to me! she said in all of her 11 years working there you have never been able to combine e-coupons with manufactured coupons… Not true i have done this plenty of times. BUT is it really true you can NO longer do this? I didnt find anything in their updated policy online.

It’s true – you cannot combine ecoupons with manufactures coupons. If it worked for you, it was a miracle b/c their registers usually kick one off if you have both

Just to clarify: I can use my $5 off next purchase RR from Walgreens at Fred Meyer to pay for a transaction that is at least $5?

I’ve only started to pay attention to catalinas in my couponing adventures and if this is the case I may just have to SQUEEEEEE! :)

Could someone clarify for me before I go try it this morning at Freddies?

I don’t think they take those types of catalina’s. They will only take catalina’s that are a manufactures coupon. ($1.50/1 Tropicana). I’ll do a little more searching and check but I don’t think you can.

here’s a more extensive link and it only states manufactures catalinas not $ off your order catalinas http://couponconnectionsnw.com/2011/03/fred-meyer-policy-change-update-letter-from-corporate/

Fred Meyer DOES accept RR from Walgreens even though they read redeemable only at Walgreens. I checked with my store manager just to be sure. According to their corporate coupon policy, Fred Meyer will accept Catalina coupons printed with another retailer’s name, including $ off your next transaction Catalinas.

Well, I printed out the coupon policy and it seems that they DO take $off catalinas (as the first bullet point does say in this post). I just used $15 worth of Walgreens RRs without issue – the cashier didn’t even bat an eye when I gave them to her and they scanned as expected.

I’m soooo happy about this! I rarely get RRs since we’re in the test market, but when I do, I’m totally going to use them for grocery shopping if I don’t roll them at Walgreens. :)

Thanks for the original post and input from others!

Me too, Jen Jen. ‘Cause I was having trouble figuring out how to spend them at Walgreens. Yay!!

I was just reading the policy since I’m heading there today. I am pretty new to couponing and was hoping someone could explain this part of their policy before I make my trip there today:

•Coupons cannot be combined with certain special pricing programs, including $4 and $10 generic prescription pricing in our pharmacy.

Does this in essence mean no stacking? I’m not interested in their pharmacy right now, just for standard grocery.

Thanks!

you can stack coupons, I think it’s just if they have a special store promotion on services (vision, pharmacy, etc). You cannot stack an ecoupon with a manufactures coupon but you can stack an in-ad coupon with a manufactures coupon

does anyone know how many coupons you are able to use in a single transaction?

Reply

Kate May 11, 2011 at 1:56 pm

Does anyone know if you can use a printable or Sunday coupon with the orange coupons Fred Meyer has hanging near items?

Reply
