Has anyone seen yet which Kelloggs cereals are included? I keep looking for Smart Start especially, as I have $1 coupons for them.

Reply

Kelley R. May 9, 2010 at 8:31 pm

I was there this evening. Smart Start is not included. It’s cocoa krispies (not the plain rice kind), corn flakes, crispix, frosted mini-wheats, and corn pops. I think that was all, but I’m not sure.

I can’t find the Kellogg’s coupon. Any other suggestions?

I believe plain Rice Krispies actually were included, perhaps just not the size Kelley was looking at (though I could be wrong) and multiple flavors of the Mini Wheats, and that’s all I can recall seeing as well.

You should be able to find the $1/2 coupons on Coupons.com and $1/2 & $1.50/2 (select varieties) on Redplum.com (I used 98662), check the last couple pages on coupons.com to see if you’ve already printed them.

I had some $1.50/2, $2/2, & $1/1 coupons from the 3/28 paper (can’t recall RP or SS) that I used.

I also picked up some free Wheaties Fuel via this post http://frugalchicliving.blogspot.com/2010/04/fred-meyer-free-wheaties-fuel.html as the price is still valid

I’m not sure how long this will last, as it seems to be an unadvertised deal (unless I missed it): Tillmook shredded cheese is on sale 10/$10. While this comes out to the same price as Safeway’s (on their 2lb blocks), the Italian blends are on sale as well. $1 is a pretty good price.

The 7% lean ground beef is on sale as well for 1.99/lb. This is the lowest I’ve ever seen this percentage at (and it’s all I ever buy)! I bought 9 lbs yesterday!

If you buy any covergirl cosmetics, you’ll get a free mascara ($8.99 value). Even without a coupon, I thought this was a good deal. The cheapest thing I could find was a sharpener for $2.99 and I scored free mascara. Yay!

Thank you for posting the Northland Juice deal w/coupon. I’ve been waiting for a good deal on cranberry juice!

Hi, I just thought I would share with you all that when you buy the tide detergent, the cash register considers the e-coupon and so it will only take 1.50 off plus the .50. Also, if you try loading your card and it won’t load, it’s because if you check one item that you already have loaded on your card, it will not let you load another PLUS all the other coupons you’ve checked off. I guess it’s their way of blocking doubling coupons? Just wanted to share that with you and save you a call to the tech at Fred Meyer. If you’re unsure, just load one at a time. If I’m wrong, please let me know. Thanks.

Jodi – Whenever you use a Store Coupon with an eCoupon you MUST have the cashier scan the Store Coupon first (that way you get both the discount from the store coupon and the eCoupon). If you scan your CARD first, the eCoupon has already been deducted and when the cashier scans your Store Coupon it adjusts your deduction for the eCoupon amount. It’s really annoying. It doesn’t matter if you are using a manufacturer’s paper coupon or not, it will still happen.

As far as the loading goes – I think Fred Meyer’s site goes through glitches. This will happen to me (says it can’t load it), then I refresh & it loads just fine. If you get a message saying something about already using the eCoupon – it’s because it was loaded through Shortcuts.

wow! Thank you so much for that information!! That will sure help out a lot and explains why that happened to my Tide transaction!

I usually don’t shop at FM, and when I was there yesterday I did a few transactions, using cats from one transaction to pay for the next, and while the cashier excepted them (with no fuss what so ever, he was quite nice about it), he informed me that I could only use one per transaction. Is this a FM policy or does it vary by store?

I am a fred Meyer’s employee for 7 years now and that is definately not a policy, you can use as many cats as you want with the exception that they won’t give you cash back from a catalina. He (or his manager) is just sadly misinformed. :(

I was going to mention that there are several varieties of the Tillamook cheese included on sale ($3.99/2lb) including the vintage white mild cheddar – we much prefer this to that orange cheddar!

Also, the Breyers catalina prints for 2-4 containers and is the same value. So if you don’t really want 4 containers in your freezer, calling your name, you can buy two and get a $2 oyno catalina. Didn’t know if everyone realized that!

I shopped today at FM, and I bought two Seventh Generation dish soaps and a small container of SG detergent (33 load size). There was a $5 rebate tag on the detergent; if you buy three SG items, you can mail in for the rebate. I also used the $2 off 2 item and a $1 off 1 item SG manufacturer’s coupon. After the 50% discount, the coupons, and the rebate, I paid less than 50 cents for all three!

This is the best deal I’ve seen on Seventh Generation. I went to Fred Meyer today to stock up…bought 25 packs of diapers and 25 packs of wipes. My husband is so excited about the deal he’s going to stop buy and get some more tomorrow!

The Emergen-C is on sale for $7.99 and they have a $2 off store coupon near the display. I also found $1/1 manufacturers coupons in the nutrition section, making it just $4.99/package, an excellent price.

I think your price on the pirate’s booty is wrong. The coupon was for $1/2 so it would be $1.50 wyb 2.
