FYI for everyone-the store in Hillsboro-sunset esplanade still has tons of Poise products left (look in the front part of the store-also by one of the checkout lines there is another cart full)-of the wash and the deodorant stickers.
Also they told me they have more of the hydro razors up front.

charolyn February 27, 2013 at 5:46 pm

Update on the anniversary deals (see also my post above) on skintimate & razors:
got two signature scents skintimate today & they did count for this.
another type yesterday didn’t -think it was the aloe or shea butter type.
Razors-schick hydro 5 men’s didn’t-ladies Schick hydro silk did !!
Anyway finally made it to my goal & am done with that :-)
Also hillsboro sunset still has poise product-just the scented liners though-but quite a bit. I told them they get the award for being most prepared. Other two Aloha ones were still unpacking today-so they may or may not get more.

Now I’m positive that you, Brenda and Melody live, eat and sleep at RA! The least they should do is give y’all those snazzy blue smocks to wear, and name tags.

charolyn February 27, 2013 at 8:29 pm

Well I will admit-you are rather accurate with me :-) But occasionally I do skip a day :-)

Brenda February 27, 2013 at 8:51 pm

Yup, I’ll admit the recent monthly promos have reeled me back into their stores much more often. Even though you two don’t need any more help going for your monthly deal I have another one to share just in case anyone else needs help finishing up theirs.
Neutrogena Soap bars $3.29 ($2.63 with my 20% discount)
Buy 2 = $5.26 use $5/2 coupon (2/24 SS) = .13 each!
Part of the Buy More, Save More Monthly Promo!!!

Howard February 28, 2013 at 11:42 am

I tried using that cpn yesterday at Target on the single bars ($1.97 each) and it didn’t fly. It probably will work on the larger, $3.29 size because of the lack of overage. Technically, I don’t think these qualify as a Hand/Body/Hair/Men’s product because they say “facial bars”–but probably this deal will work for most people. (One could argue that soap bars are a hand or body product, but I believe the intention of the mfr was to limit the cpn to goo that comes in tubes and jars. They probably should have listed any specific exclusions on the cpn, as others do.)

Brenda February 28, 2013 at 5:00 pm

Yeah, I thought about the whole body/face issue too. I finally decided that my face is attached to my body and the coupon didn’t exclude the bars so I would try it out at the store. The cashier had no issues using them.
As I wouldn’t want to encourage the misuse of coupons, do not do this deal if plan to use this on a face that’s not attached to a body! (man, that sounds a lot creepier that I intended!!!)

charolyn February 28, 2013 at 9:46 pm

Howard-I see you made it to your $100 (congratulations!) also & am thinking of ways to spend the $20-milk is a good thing to throw in (and good price with the 20% off-I almost always get it there). And you can always use part of it for something you use, but doesn’t usually go on sale.
Well Brenda-I put Neutrogena on my list anyway-as it is a good price and I promise to use it on my hands/body only & when I share some with others & will instruct them also :-)

The finish gel pacs were priced at $6.49 (20ct) so I had to buy 6 pkgs to spend over $15 but didnt get the $3.00 +up. After my +ups and coupons I only paid $3.74 for six boxes so I was thrilled but I’m just wondering did I do something wrong or did it just not print out?

Reply

Melody February 25, 2013 at 7:48 pm

There were only select Finish products that were included, I noticed. That’s why I listed the Quantum, but I should have noted that they all weren’t included. Still a great deal!

DeAnn February 25, 2013 at 3:18 pm

Just a FYI, if you plan to do the Prevacid deal like she has listed above and you have the gold 20%, then you will be short of the $100 mark, since these are regular 28.99, so with 20% it makes them less than $25.99, ($23.19).

HeyCupcake February 25, 2013 at 10:52 am

Oh my god I am shaking right now. I just left a Hillsboro Rite Aid and was in line to get a rains check for the Poise products. Well to my amazement the cart in front of me had at least 5-10 poise products in it! The cashier asked if he could help me with anything and I said yes, those products that are in her cart have a limit of two per household this week (assuming she’s buying them for the +up and doesn’t need 8 more without a +up), I said this is the 4th RA I’ve been to and it’s bc of people like her and stores like you who abuse your own policy. I said you should be embarrassed. Quite honestly it didn’t even look like she would use the soap, she obviously hasn’t gotten a single deal on shampoo based on TMI that I won’t gross you out by sharing. Well this lady tells me “any RA will allow you to have up to 4 cards per household”. Well the plus up limit is 2 per household right or does it say two per card account? Anyway, I was fuming.

Reply

Howard February 25, 2013 at 12:33 pm

HeyCupcake, good for you for speaking out. I know a few people who have multiple cards for RA, Walgreens, etc and justify it by saying one is for their spouse, neighbor, friend, relative, whatever. Obviously the RA register will allow two purchases per card, not per person, whether we like that or not. I wish the stores would adopt a limit per person on sale/reward/rebate items, but the hoarders will simply go to another store, or easier yet, leave and come right back. I felt slightly guilty taking 4 of the remaining 5 Nivea balms Sunday, but I didn’t exactly break any moral or legal rules. In the meantime, Cupcake, cool off by eating some chocolate frosting out of the can, which I coincidentally did about an hour ago after lunch, and I’m feeling pretty darn good!

Reply

Brenda February 25, 2013 at 8:30 pm

Good for you for saying something! It’s such a difficult thing to know how to handle. I wish the policy was even more clear than it is. I feel bad for the cashiers that are suppose to somehow regulate people using multiple cards. Working retail for years, I know they are not paid enough to deal with customers who try and work the system. However, it’s so frustrating to show up week after week on the first day of the sale with no products left.
I’m with Howard, find a sweet treat and just wait for a new shipment to come it. At least you got a raincheck!

Reply

HeyCupcake February 26, 2013 at 1:57 pm

Thanks you two! I haven’t asked for a raincheck for weeks, no months, and I finally have gotten tired of clipping coupons and not using them so I decided to ask. I swear I’m not shallow or superficial, I didn’t mean to insult the hoarder based on her lack of hygene, I just also am not wasteful either and it boils my blood thinking that people just buy hot items and not use them. A shopper like that can’t-not have hair care, let me tell ya. I feel terr.ib.le when I let a cold med or vitamin expire, I think “someone would’ve loved to have gotten this”. Oh well! I’m on Paleo now but I’ll pretend to eat a fancy Saint Cupcake right now =]

Good luck with that diet. If it doesn’t work, try mine, the Seafood Diet (you know, see food and eat as much as you can).

Reply

Brenda February 26, 2013 at 7:58 pm

Yeah, I would say that I’m on the Seafood Diet as well but wouldn’t want to give the false impression that I actually eat fish…is there a Seechocolate Diet because that’s more accurate.

Funds February 24, 2013 at 10:09 pm

The covergirl coupon listing on Tanasbourne RA was “buy 3, get $2 in Up”, so I could not replicate the covergirl lipliner deal.

On the other hand, heads up on the Almay deal– the register just wont take any of the two $2 Almay coupon and one $1 coupon on Mascara– but the store manager ultimately manually overrode them. No nivea lip balms left at the tanasbourne stores on Sunday — may be they will restock them later?

Reply

Brenda February 24, 2013 at 11:10 pm

I think Melody just made a small mistake on the Covergirl deal. You can still do it by adding one more item to the scenario, which will make them $3.32 each. It would actually be a better deal if you bought 4 and used 4 coupons to get them for $2.89 each. Not the best price that we have seen, but would be nice if your still working on the monthly Buy More, Save More promotion that ends this week.
Weird about the Almay coupons, but at least you were still able to use them! Did you ask your cashier about the Nivea? I only found one on the shelf so I left it there, but when I said something about it to the cashier she said they had a bunch stashed behind the counter so they could better monitor how many each customer was buying.

charolyn February 24, 2013 at 5:34 pm

If anyone still has time today (Sunday) the Dove Men’s Body + face wash-has a $2 coupon (1/27 RP) making them 2/$1 with $2 + up/2 !
BUT the coupon expires today.

Thanks for the extra tip.
Feeling lazy tonight so I was a bit relieved when I double checked and found that I had already used up my coupons.

I know just what you mean-we are kindred couponers :-)
I found two more, and fortunately had a church meeting to go out to that evening (which is right next to rite aid), so that motivated me to use them-otherwise I probably wouldn’t have gone out again either.

Did anyone in the Oregonian area see the Scott coupons? We usually get them-but I can’t find any.

Charolyn,
Didn’t find the Scott coupons in my Oregonian or Columbian.
Weird, since we usually get them.

My store had spots but no product over near the k-y jelly. They were wiped out early this morning.

Did anyone see Poise items in your store. I went to two RA this morning and no Poise items whatsoever. I am looking for the panty freshners, any tips?

Hillsboro in Sunset Esplanade has them-an hour ago still had about 5 cases in the front by the cosmetics (maybe 6 boxes per case)- also they had the wash. They get the award for being the best prepared :-)
Farmington didn’t have any-which is unusual for them-the cashier said they were cleared out early in the morning.

Target and Walgreens also sell Poise products, but not necessarily at the price you want. I got 4 of the Poise cooling wipes over the past 3 weeks on trips to those stores, all free.

Thanks for the tip-gives other options.

Rite aid in Springfield still had them tonight!

Christine February 24, 2013 at 1:06 pm

A heads up: I went to 2 rite aid locations today — neither one would take the $2 flyer coupon + the .55. They just said “if it doesn’t scan, we can’t take it”. On the plus side, they did have extra-large cans available.

Finish gel pacs: my UPs didn’t show up n my receipt. Check yours, if you do this deal! (they’ve been great in the past with a phone call to HQ — they’ll send ‘em out by mail)

I don’t see a $2/1 Revlon coupon in 1/27 SS. I have a $1/1 haircolor coupon. Am I blind??

Reply

Howard February 24, 2013 at 7:24 am

Oregonian does not get Revlon cpns. We’re already beautiful.

HeyCupcake February 24, 2013 at 8:22 am

Best of! Greatest reason I have heard so far for why we don’t receive Revlon coupons.

Reply

Amanda February 23, 2013 at 9:02 pm

And another thing… the bags my Oregonian came in last weekend (2/17) had $2/1 Advil coupons attached. Not sure if everyone received this, but would make Advil $.99 this week.

The finish deal says monthly, so do you have to reach $15 in the month? Or in one transaction, limit 1 deal per month? If the first, does that mean you can split transactions to use 4 coupons? Thanks for all you do!

Reply

Melody February 23, 2013 at 10:17 pm

It does mean over the course of the month, doesn’t have to be one transaction. However, which ever way you decide to split the transaction, you could still only use two total coupons if you bought four items. Rite Aid doesn’t allow a coupon on a “free” item anymore. Does that answer your question?

Amanda February 24, 2013 at 8:58 am

Yes! That makes sense. I didn’t realize it was BOGO free. Thank you!

Umm, what Nivea is part of the Anniversary Promo? I see Nivea on the list of items.

Reply

Brenda February 23, 2013 at 4:57 pm

Since it doesn’t specific, I’m hoping all of it is. The cool thing about the lipcare is it’s free if you have the coupons, so it’s a good deal even if it doesn’t count toward the monthly total!

Janene Jones February 24, 2013 at 10:25 am

According to some of my crazy math it did count, but my math is always questionable and all of my Finish dishwashing tablets didn’t count towards the goal either.

Janene Jones February 24, 2013 at 10:37 am

also the Skintimate did count towards the anniversary promo

Howard February 23, 2013 at 6:20 pm

The detailed list which is viewable at iheartriteaid.com simply lists Nivea, so my guess is that all Nivea counts.

charolyn February 23, 2013 at 6:24 pm

However-colgate was on the list too & the free one two weeks ago didn’t count-it is hard to tell for sure ahead of time. On the positive side-some things I didn’t think would count have :-)

Howard February 24, 2013 at 7:25 am

The RA list at iheartriteaid.com states Nivea with no other description. The Colgates, however, are very specific:
Colgate Battery Powered
Toothbrushes
Colgate Manual toothbrushes
multipacks
Colgate Max and 360 1ct Manual
Toothbrushes (Surround, Total
Advanced, Sensitive Pro Relief
or Optic White)
Colgate Optic White Mouthwash
Colgate Toothpaste Total
Advanced 5.8oz or 7.8oz, Total
6oz or 7.8oz, Optic White 4oz
or 5.5oz or Multipacks 4oz or
larger, 2in1 4.6oz, Sensitive
6oz, or Sensitive Pro Relief 4oz

Thanks Howard-the list I saw wasn’t specific-just brands.

charolyn February 24, 2013 at 4:55 pm

The Nivea lip products did count today to the anniversary promo :-)

Janene February 24, 2013 at 5:35 pm

yeah!!! my math isn’t too off….but that means that even more of my Finish didn’t count towards the promo.

Howard February 26, 2013 at 1:47 pm

Made it to $100 this morning. Needed $36, spent $37 ($29 after cpns) on 4 Nature Made adult gummies, 2 Nature Made magnesiums. Now I have 14 days to figure out how to spend a $20 UP on the next sale ads.

Reply

Howard February 24, 2013 at 9:42 pm

I bought 4 lip balms today and a bunch of $$ was added to my monthly total, so they all must have counted for $1.50 each, or more? Now I’m at $64 and have the rest of the week to decide whether to go for the $20 UP. Maybe the Nature Made vitamins.

Reply

charolyn February 26, 2013 at 9:10 pm

OK-continuing confusion-today I bought skintimate & it didn’t count & ladies schick razor & it did count. There were signs in the store-both should of (and I noted skintimate did work for Janene above). AND to make it more unsure, I bought the men’s schick razor a few days ago & it didn’t count!
Still I was happy about the razor, as that counts 9.99 towards the $100, so with 3 Tide I am almost there.
Hope that helps you Howard-which I could be more certain though :-)

Can we buy the Robitussin in three separate transactions for the $6 rebate?

Reply

Melody February 23, 2013 at 1:07 pm

I don’t actually have the rebate, but the listing in the coupon database says it must be purchased on one receipt.

Reply

JHollyhock (aka Jennifer H.) February 24, 2013 at 8:34 am

Right on. I think I will buy one Robitussin and two Advil. That will make them all free. My store does not allow more then one ad coupon in one transaction.

Janene Jones February 23, 2013 at 8:48 am

wow on the Finish dishwashing tablets again! Yeah! My stock of those has been growing instead of diminishing yeah again! AND it counts towards the 50th anniversary deal…triple yeah!
