There are a TON of items and products in this ad, please be sure to check your local ad before heading out shopping.  I listed what I thought were the best deals, but there may have been something I overlooked.

Also be sure to look out for Christmas clearance.  My local store was still at 50% off, but they had tons of bows, gift bags and wrapping paper.  Toys were also marked 50% off!

I bought the oral-b power toothbrush and my rebate submission was rejected saying I hadn”t purchased enough products. I thought we were getting 2.99 back as a SCR. Rite-aid is trying to use the rebate offer #28 (Buy $25 get back $10) What’s up?

Reply

Sarah G January 7, 2012 at 6:13 pm

The SCR on the toothbrush ended when the new SCR month started on January 3rd, I think.

That one is actually a little different. Since it was advertised in their actual ad, it was valid all week instead of cycling over like the others. The dates listed on the ad are 1/1 – 1/7, so you should be good. It’s possible they just don’t have their systems correctly updated. I would send their CS a quick email and they should fix it for you.

Here’s the link to the ad, it’s on the last page: http://ads.iheartriteaid.com/2011/12/0101-0107.html

The manager at my store, who is a pretty good friend of mine, told me that they were told by her regional manager to say it was a misprint, and that it was taken out of the register so the +up won’t print. But, if a customer makes a big stink, gets loud, talks about false advertising or threatens to call the BBB (pretty much anything besides just calling corporate), they should offer a gift card. So first they’re supposed to tell you misprint, sorry, etc. and then if you don’t accept that, she was told to just offer a store gift card instead, to keep people happy. Worth a try if you have the time, maybe other managers were told the same thing. Worst case scenario you can just return it right then.

Rite Aid Facebook just published a notice that the Vanilla Visa card is NOT part of Resolution Rewards and appologized for the error in the ad.

Thanks Jan, I’ll update the post. Bummer!

Bridget – I know this sounds weird (it did to me!), but my acupuncturist cures people from smoking with one treatment. He’s an MD four times over and was an oncologist (the first one) in the Tri-Cities for over 20 years. He’s retired now, and does acupuncture for “fun”. He sees people from Spokane, Seattle, and all over the northwest. Anyway, it probably sounds weird, but I thought I’d throw it out there. I had never heard of acupuncture curing smoking addictions before, so I figured maybe you hadn’t either. Just in case you’re interested, his name is Dr. I-Yen Yang and his office is on Goethals Drive in Richland. In any case, best of luck to you!

I have been planning this since October. This is the year I STOP smoking! I know I am going to need some help.
The smoking cessation aids are very spendy. This what I was able to do.
#1 Nicoderm CQ 39.99
-15 MC
-5 VV
=19.99 plus received 5+ups

#2 Niccorette 39.99
-15 MC
-5 VV
- 5 ups
= 14.99 plus received 5 =ups

#3 Nicoderm CQ 39.99
-15 MC
-5 ups
= 19.99 plus received 5 =ups

#4 Nicoderm CQ 39.99
-15 MC
-5 ups
= 19.99 plus received 5 ups
Out of pocket was 74.95. The Nicoderm/Niccorette products normally retail for 52.99 so my savings was 137 and there is a SCR for 5 each limit 3 good thru tomorrow.
I am not sure why I was able to roll my ups it was a pleasant surprise. My ups printed at the bottom of my receipts and there was no questions when I tried to use them for the next transaction.
This was the Salem RA at Center and Lancaster.
I am so excited to get this accomplished, and not to proud to say I will need help. I hope if someone else is wanting to quit this info may help them.
Wish me luck

Oh my goodness Bridget, I NEVER post these Nicorette deals because I have zero idea what a good price is. This seemed fairly good with all the rebates, rewards and high value coupons so I threw it in last minute. I just knew there was a reason, hooray!

Good luck to you, I wish you all the best!

is the scr for the glucerna and the centrum for december or january?

Reply

Melody January 2, 2012 at 5:06 pm

I listed it as ending 1/3, so part of the December offers. Would need to be purchased by tomorrow.

Ok, here is my saga of the Visa gift card:

1. Tried to buy one last night but reward didn’t print so I returned it.
2. Called corporate this morning and they told me if I go purchase the card again then call them and they will mail me the reward.
3. I go buy the card and call corporate back, only to be told I have to take the card back to the store and they will issue a credit.
4. I called the manager at my store she confirmed it and said she will refund me $20 cash.

I will head up there soon to get my $20 before they change their mind again!

Amanda January 2, 2012 at 8:28 pm

I bought the Visa gift card yesterday and got my UP Rewards, no problem. My mom tried to do it today…no UP Reward. I called customer service and they said the ad was misprinted and the Visa gift cards should not have been included. They told me to return the card and they would not send me the Up Rewards.

Reply

Melody January 2, 2012 at 8:32 pm

What’s strange about that is they are listed in the master list of participating products, so that tells me they are not a misprint. So much conflicting information! Perhaps try returning and rebuying, or calling CS again to talk to someone else. I’ll try to talk to my local manager again in the next few days to see what’s up.

Reply

Sarah G January 2, 2012 at 9:02 pm

Just for the record, the manager did give me $20 cash when I went in to see her. That’s better than an UP reward in my book! :)

Reply

Jan January 3, 2012 at 8:15 am

Rite Aid Facebook just printed an appology for the Vanilla Visa being listed in the ad as part of the Resolution Rewards. So no +UP for buying one.

Barb January 2, 2012 at 2:40 pm

The Bausch & Lomb printable is for a twin pack of 12 oz bottles. Won’t work with this sale.

Reply

Melody January 2, 2012 at 2:41 pm

If you scroll down past the initial screen, there is a coupon for the single bottle.

Reply

Barb January 3, 2012 at 1:09 pm

Thanks for the tip! That’s what I get for skimming. However, I got the dreaded “Sorry, this coupon program is no longer available.” I wish they would just pull the offer from their page when they are out of prints instead of teasing you.

Reply

Lora January 2, 2012 at 11:22 am

Oh, I think I figured out what you were meaning. Was it that you would make approx. $13.05 on the deal after you bought your $100 worth of stuff? Sorry. It’s been a while since I’ve done any store matchups!! ;)

Reply

carmen January 2, 2012 at 12:02 pm

Yes. So essentially you are making 13 bucks for each card you purchase. I take advantage of these deals since I usually use cash. Instead of putting 100 cash in one of my budget envelopes, I just put in the card and track my purchases. I am hoping there is not a limit on this one.

Reply

Lora January 2, 2012 at 11:15 am

I’m confused about the vanilla visa card. After paying $106 and getting $20 in +UP rewards, how does it end up being free or having an overage?? Thanks!!

Reply

Sarah G January 1, 2012 at 6:38 pm

I tried to purchase the visa card today and the +UP didn’t print so I returned it. I’m going to call Rite Aid tomorrow and see what the deal is. My store couldn’t find anywhere where it said there was a limit so I tried to buy two. Also, the activation fee is $5.95, not $6.95.

Reply

Melody January 1, 2012 at 8:00 pm

I talked to my local store manager today and apparently they are having trouble with the Visa cards all over and are attempting to fix it now. It should be fixed by tomorrow I imagine, but definitely contact Rite Aid’s CS if you purchased it today. It’s clearly on the list and the managers know it should work, so CS should honor it for you. Do remember that this runs all month, so you will be able to purchase it at some point.

My manager also told me that she had talked to a gal who had purchased the Visa card at another store and her reward printed, but she purchased 2 and got 2 rewards! I’m still waiting on an email from my PR guy, but it looks like the limit may be more than 1!

Thanks for the reply! It is so frustrating to get conflicting info. I called RA CS this morning and they said the limit is 1. I’m going back to my store today to try again and see if I can get one to print.

Can you only get the Resolution Reward once? Even the cashiers at my Rite Aid weren’t sure-Thanks!

Southern Cali Saver said there was a limit of 1, so that’s why I listed it as such. However, I can’t find it listed anywhere! I just sent an email to my RA contact and I’ll let you know as soon as I hear.

Just wondering…… Don’t the Wellness Rewards start over as of 1/1?? I was confused since you noted things that could trigger the rewards discount.

You start earning for the year of 2012 today (1/1), but if you reached your 20% discount level last year, you will continue to receive that discount through the end of 2012! I’m not 100% sure about the 10% discount, but would assume it’s the same.

That’s fantastic! I had read something like that on one of my receipts but I figured I just misunderstood!! Awesome! Plus…FYI, I tried the Vanilla gift card promo and it didn’t work but hopefully 1-800-riteaid will come thru (like they always do)!

The Gillette Fusion coupon is $5 off on Razor when you buy Cartridges. I’m slightly confused. Please help.

Didn’t the $7 centrum coupons expire already?

WOW! Thanks for the amazing list that was very clear and easy to read. I am excited for my inserts this weekend and to get my list together for Rite Aid. Boy have I missed couponing the last couple weeks : )

I really enjoyed going through my coupons and throwing things out ruthlessly. It felt good. I’m excited for the new year of couponing, especially with such a great week to start out!
