I agree with Carol. Rite-Aid is trying to make it hard to use coupons. I was told to prevent so many multiple transactions I could not use the up rewards I just earned for 24 hours. Really frustrating.

that is so FALSE, go to rite aid on facebook and they have stated on many posts that +up rewards CAN be used right away

Yes, the Prilosec is a good price! However, if you can’t make it to Rite Aid this week (like me) Rite Aid’s generic version will be $14.99 next week with an in-ad coupon. Both of these brands count for the Resolution Rewards also!

dang are the tylenol excedrine coupons out already???? I missed it!

Lisa January 15, 2012 at 9:04 pm

I tried using the Scotts coupon and they wouldn’t take it. The toilet paper wasn’t the super soft that the coupon describes. I think it would have worked had she tried it though. Maybe just a picky cashier. Not my normal RiteAid.

Reply

Meegan January 15, 2012 at 12:23 pm

I was told I couldn’t use a MFG coupon because it had printed out at Fred Meyer and had the Fred Meyer name on it. She acknowledged that it was a MFG coupon but said “rite aid won’t let us take it if it says Fred Meyer”. Is that written or just something they’re doing?

Reply

Leanna January 15, 2012 at 12:30 pm

My friendly RA will try to scan coupons that come from other stores. If it scans, they’ll take it. If not, they won’t.

I don’t believe it’s specifically addressed in their coupon policy, so this is one of those YMMV.

Reply

charolyn January 15, 2012 at 6:02 pm

I used my B2G1 free nabisco coupon (see above) today & the cashier wasn’t going to use it because it says “redeemable at Walmart”-I said I understood that type can be used other places as opposed to it saying “use only at…”-she didn’t like it but tried scanning it, which worked fine-but then mumbled that she hoped they would get reimbursed for it-I said I would take it to my other store-but she said too late-you can’t take it back from the system (which I think is true).
Does anyone else know about this?
Meegan-if you are talking about the yellow ones from Fred Meyer-I have never heard that they can be used anywhere else (even though they say manufactures).

Reply

stephanie January 15, 2012 at 6:19 pm

I tried to use the Fred Meyer ones at Safeway for the first time this week. They wouldn’t scan. I think Fred Meyer does something to them to make them not scan, because they are really a manufacturer coupon and should be reimbursed to Safeway if that is where I use it.

Reply

Carrie January 20, 2012 at 6:54 pm

Only the catalina coupons or blinkie coupons found at Fred Meyer can be used at other locations. The yellow coupons are manufacturers coupons, but are distributed exclusively for Fred Meyer. You are correct when you say they will not scan anywhere else. Its the same idea as the peelies that say ‘only to be used as such & such store’.

Reply

michelle January 15, 2012 at 9:17 am

For the mitchum deodrant: the coupon in the add is a manufacture coupon for $2.00 so its not able to be combined with the .75 off too. Right?

Reply

Melody January 15, 2012 at 9:35 am

Since the bar code on the store coupon starts with RC49, it is in fact a store coupon and can be stacked. They clearly state in their coupon policy that they can be used together, I just did it a few minutes ago!

Just a reminder for everyone. I doubt you will find any excedrin on the shelf due the recall from earlier this week. I double checked my local stores a couple days ago and they had pulled them all.
Gee, couldn’t they have waited a week after the great sale to issue the recall ?!?
just kidding.

Reply

Melody January 15, 2012 at 5:53 am

Thanks for making that point Brenda, I forgot that it was Excedrin on the recall since we rarely use it. Looks like it is Theraflu for everyone! Those that got the coupons at least. :)

What’s the code from the smart source? I check FSI 339-1, FSI 340-1, FSI 352-1 and FSI 337-1. Those are from Ashland, Medford, SF and Oregonian. Couldn’t find them. Can you help direct me a little to where you found yours? Page or other ads on the page? Thanks!!

My wellness points do not print out at the bottom of my receipt anymore. Did I miss something and they are not doing it anymore or do I need to watch my total somewhere else?

Reply

Cate January 14, 2012 at 12:16 pm

I noticed that as well last night…Not sure what the deal is with that. Maybe you have to create an online account to be able to check your balance. That will be a pain if it is the case.

charolyn January 14, 2012 at 9:14 pm

They didn’t show for me for a couple weeks, but are now, but seem really low-like they are after coupons-does anyone know about that?

Reply

stephanie January 14, 2012 at 11:18 pm

They usually get behind the 1st of the year- must me maintenance on the system or something. They usually come back- that would be terrible if they changed the way they calculate the points. They would never admint they gave you credit for manufacturer coupons though, so there would be nothing we could do:(

Reply

Angie January 21, 2012 at 3:15 am

Is anyone else having problems with their points not adding up. Spoke with customer service this week. They said nothing has changed with the way points are calculated, but when I explained that I had already reached my resolution reward and my points only show at 53(50 of those were 2 prescriptions) they said it was after all coupons and up rewards. Then I made 2 more purchases 1 was 30 and the other 40, both after all coupons, now my points show as 98. Has anyone else heard about how they are calculating these points now?

Kien January 14, 2012 at 11:16 am

The Nature Made BOGO for this week is for selected Value Size items, but it looks like for next week, there’s no restrictions or exclusions listed.

Reply

Chelsea R January 14, 2012 at 6:33 am

At my rite aid only the larger size Nature Made vitamins were BOGO, the size in your deal scenario wasn’t included. Bummer!

Reply

Melody January 14, 2012 at 6:36 am

That’s strange, the ad doesn’t show any size restrictions. I’ll have to check my local store to see if it’s the same.

Is anyone else having issues with goodnites coupon printing? It seems the site is having problems. Pull-ups coupon is out of prints. Thanks for all your work on these deals Melody. I really love the great deals being in red as it makes them so much easier to find.

Reply

Melody January 14, 2012 at 5:35 am

The deals in red are actually the ones that are participating in the Resolution Rewards promo, although they do tend to be the best deals. I could add another color for best deals and we could end up with a Christmas tree for a post. :)

I’ll update on the Pull-ups coupon. Strange with that one, I thought it was a once per household per month print, guess they changed the limit on it.

For the Buy & Save promo, do you credited the price paid exclusive of coupons and UP rewards or not? Example, for the ziploc bags, would you be credited $5 for buying 2?

Ziploc Storage Bags (10-50 ct) or Containers (3-4 ct) on sale $2.50
Buy 2, Get $1 +UP Reward – limit 4
Buy 2
Use $1/2 Ziploc Bags coupon or (2) $1/1 Ziploc Containers coupon from 1/15 SS insert
Pay $3, Get $1 +UP
As low as $1 each after coupons and reward

You’re correct, you would get $5 towards the $100 needed for the Resolution Reward promo!

Hooray! I’ll have to try our other computer, it just kept coming up with a runtime error. Great deal!

one of our computers kept doing the runtime errors. After uninstalling the printer and re installing it the errors quiet so you might want to give that a try

$2/1 pull-ups coupon seems to have reached it’s limit.

I was told that I couldn’t use the Reese’s holiday candy coupon on the single serve because the coupon “meant the bagged” even though it clearly states ANY reeses holiday. :( My Rite Aid used to be awesome..now it’s cracked down so hard it makes shopping their terrible.

My store has gotten bad too. Yesterday it took 20 minutes to check out using 5 coupons, because the cashier, who has known me for THREE YEARS now and should know that my coupons are always legit, scrutinized and questioned every coupon. He even questioned whether the .50 off “any Kleenex” was good on the rectangular box, because that was not in the picture. Good bye Rite Aid, we had a good run!
