wow saturday night and no comments yet?!?!?!?!
I saw prilosec in the ad. I have several $5 off coupons which would make it $12.99 for the 28ct. Is $.46/pill good? I haven’t bought this before.
Jane,
It depends if your brand loyal to Prilosec. If you are, then it’s a decent deal.
Personally, I don’t mind the drugstore’s generic version of Prilosec or Zegrid (which basically is Prilosec and baking soda) and look for deals at $.30/pill or lower.
Jane,
I just looked through my ad again and noticed that Rite-Aid’s generic verison of Prilosec (Omeprazole) 28 count is on sale for $9.99 with an in-ad coupon (page 6 in my ad). If you’re not brand loyal to Prilosec, it’s a better deal.
It’s an OK price but you can do better. I usually buy Prilosec only when there is some kind of a rebate plus a cpn, otherwise I go for the generic, usually Walgreens omeprazole. The latter can be had in the 42-ct size sometimes for as little as $10 to $13.
A few weeks back, Walgreens was giving away free Lansoprazole (same as Prevacid) after RR. I got a couple of the 14-counts free.
Prevacid is also on sale often and has good cpns most of the time, and some really good rebates once in a while.
The only Prilo cpns I’m aware of are for $1. There is a good deal on page 12 of the Walgreens ad. You can get a 28-ct Prilosec for $19, a 24-30 ct Zantac for $9, and a Tums freshers for $4, and get a $10 register reward in return. Use your Prilo cpn with the $5 Zantac cpn and the $1 Tums cpn (6-24 RP) and you will make out well: $11 net if you indeed have a $5 Prilo cpn. (There is a $1.50 Tums freshers cpn at Tums.com.)
Thanks everyone for the help. You’re all great. I’m not brand loyal by any means. I haven’t bought this type of product before but need to. Howard, I found a blinkie at Fred Meyer with $5 off any Prilosec except trial size
And Howard, I’ve tried Walgreen’s 3 different times. Each time I go away promising myself I will never shop there again. I highly dislike Walgreen’s…at least the 2 in my area. I think I’ll just stick with the generic alternatives for now and see if it’s even something I’ll be needing. I don’t even shop Wags for the freebies.
Great find on the blinkie, J. I practically live on omeprazole (aka Prilosec) and Prevacid. I take them for 2 wks at a time, the try to stay off as long as I can, which is usually for just a day or two. My doc told me to avoid the “lawyer” language on the label and take it every day, year-round, if I want to, instead of waiting 3 months between 2-week trials.
Thanks for the advice. I’m tired of heartburn. I found a $10 MIR on the Rite Aid brand 42 count. With my discount is ended up being about $.17/pill! Howard, I think I like your doctor
If you can point out that $10 MIR, I’d like to have it.
(
hgroopman@yahoo.com.
My doctor just sent out letters announcing his impending retirement.
Howard, there was a stack right next to the 42ct at my Rite Aid (Gresham). I’m sure you could call Rite Aid and have them mail you one if you can’t find it in your store. Or I could throw one in the mail if all else fails
Tried a couple stores, did not see any MIRs for RA omeprazole.
If you can email one to me, or send me one, I’m at hgroopman@yahoo.com. Thanks and I hope you see this.
Can’t find the store coupon on their site.
Is it a video value coupon? If so it may have been June’s, which you could only get if you watched it in June.
Or is it an store ad coupon-which is in their ad which comes out Sunday-either in the paper, or at the store as you walk in you will see a stand.
I found Zest coupons in my 7/8 SS, which makes the body wash free and the 3pk bar soap $.49.
I also found a $5 coupon for Zantac in the same insert which will make the 24-30 count boxes $1.99.
Thanks for the match-ups Melody, makes it so much easier to plan my trip!
The Zantac has been on sale several times this year for $7.99 (less $2 PlusUp or RR) at RA and Walgreens, with a net cost of 99 cts. But $1.99 isn’t too bad, either. There have been $5 cpns in the Sunday paper and also online.
Thanks for the tip; I completely missed it. It was strange driving past RA Sunday, having found nothing in the ad worthwhile. Will try the soap and wash tomorrow, if there’s any left.
I don’t get this Dial matchup at all. You say Dial is $2.99 with a $2 RR. Based on that I went to the store today and saw the Dial for $3.99, with NO RR tag on the shelf. Checked the paper ad and saw the same info. So I left with nothing but my unused cpns.
Are you maybe talking about the Zest? I don’t think I have Dial listed anywhere in the match-ups and the Zest is definitely in my ad as $2.99.
Thanks for that update. Snagged one of each today at King City (they were nearly out of both), paid $.48 net after cpns and UPs.
Now we can be clean for at least another couple of weeks.
Then I went next door to Albertsons and got a free box of pasta and a 12-ct box of ice cream cones for 89 cts, courtesy of the $1 cpns in the new in-store book (which King City STILL does not have). This was right before my sojourn to KC golf course, where I then played one of the 3 best rounds of my life. After I make the Seniors golf tour, I’ll still be true to myself and hunt for bargains.
I got the zest bar soap today & it was only .29 with the 20% discount! Now am hunting for the liquid body wash, as that store was out.

Is anyone else having problems printing the Video Value coupons? Whenever I try to print them, the page comes out blank — even after clearing the cache and trying a different computer. I’ve contacted their customer support but so far haven’t resolved the issue. Thanks in advance for any help!
I printed some today with no problems. Did you try doing print preview first-to see if maybe you need to print page 2 (would be strange but on other things that has happened to me before)?
Poise pads are $12.99 with a $2 +Up
You can get a $2 coupon here: http://www.poise.com/offers/coupons.aspx
Net $8.99 – not sure if that’s a great price or not, but the $2 coupon can be used anywhere. Also, the coupon isn’t one that goes “straight to print” – it brings up a print window so you can print multiple copies or print to PDF. They will only let you print it from the site 2 times, though, so choose carefully. It has a short expiration period also.
There is a rebate for free lysol dual action wipes (up to $3) but it has to be purchased by today. I’ll try to find the link and post it. Would make your end cost of 2 dual action wipes .49. The first one was 3.99 at my store so if you have the coupon would make it .49 for 2 after coupon and rebate offer.
http://www.lysol.com/docs/24844_LysolDAW_RebateOffer_lo.pdf
Sorry, don’t use that link. Its an old rebate only good thru April.
Here’s the correct link :
http://www.lysol.com/special-offers/dual-action-wipes-rebate/
The Garnier Shampoo and Conditioner Deal. Why does two of them have to be the fall fight kind? Can’t they all be the regular shampoo?
They could, but then you couldn’t use the second Video Values coupon. That would make them $.93 each, still decent.
Thanks, Mel, brain freeze or senior moment on my part. I marched into RA holding two Zest cpns and left after not seeing the Dial for $2.99. I sure was not “dialed” in on this deal. Was in too much of a hurry to get to the golf course. Will try again before Sat and get rainchecks as needed.
oh gotcha- ok thanks!
Slightly better deal at Walgreens on the U by Kotex; it is $3.99, less $1 cpn and $2 RR.
I believe I saw a SCR on this also (need to double check myself before I go back again), think you could then get one for free!
Nice try, Char, but the SCR runs between July 15 and 31. Might be free if they reduce the price again. Already used my cpn this past week at Walgreens and paid 99 cents after RR. My daughter now has about a year’s supply of U and Radiant. Her friends were awed when she told them I get them for free or $1; they pay $5-7 a shot.
Thanks, I just noticed that today also-am going to hold on to my VV & manu coupon and see if there is a great deal during that time!
Anyone else have problems finding the Coppertone coupon in the SS 6/24?
As I recall, the Oregonian did not have this. There was/is a $1 one online which I used at Safeway and paid $4.99 when they had it 2-3 weeks ago.
Yes I didn’t get it either-but printed the one above.
Also on the more recent post about the Rite Aid printable coupons (some released every day) she said a coppertone one will be coming out-so I am waiting for that too (hopefully this week-hasn’t as of today)-as it can be used with the manu one!!
I think the daily cpns so far are crummy. I printed the $1 Chex mix one and tried it Friday. They charge $3.29 for an 8-oz bag. No deal.
The coppertone RA coupon came out on their daily “trip” site! I’m getting mine today with the manu & +ups will be a great price!
