I have a wellness card and so does my mom in another state. She doesn’t use her video coupons but was wondering if I watched it for her and print it out. Can I use her video value coupon with my wellness card?

The $2 VV for Samy scanned without any problems for the foam hair color.

Tom’s of Maine coupon must be in a regional SS since I’m not finding it in the Tri-City inserts, or have I lost my mind?

sorry…meant to add to purchase 1 Venus Desposable Razors and 1 Satin Care ?

Reply

Melody June 21, 2011 at 2:24 pm

You definitely can! I tried really hard to come up with a good scenario for those items, but it just didn’t seem like that good of a deal. The free Satin Care coupon only covers up to $2.50 and it is $2.99 at Rite Aid. The only Venus disposables I could find were $10.49 each for three razors. Probably a decent deal if this is the only kind you use, but otherwise not so great.

Can I use the Venus Disposable B1G1 free Satin Care Shave Prep Free coupon (RP 6/19) and the $2.00 off one Venus Disposable razors (PG 6/5)?

Karri June 20, 2011 at 12:15 am

My B1 G1 Free coupon for Venus + Olay hand & body lotion says its for refills not disposables. Just wondering if the refills are in the ad too?

Reply

Melody June 21, 2011 at 2:23 pm

The ad says all Venus shaving products (or something along those lines) so refills should definitely be included!

I’m in a lil coupon saving dilemma. I’m new at this. So, my problem is this. I went to Rite-Aid on the 17th and saw Tugaboos brand of diapers were $6.99 after a $3.00 rebate. I payed $9.99 and noticed on their rebate flyer that the sale didn’t start ’til 6/19. I felt kinda ripped off because why was there a sticker saying” it’s like paying $6.99 after rebate” if it wasn’t good for that day in the first place? Well, now I dunno if I’m allowed to return the diapers to get the deal if I go tomorrow 6/19. I’m afraid of looking bad, plus what if they don’t let me (just to save $3).But I could buy something else w/that.I’m wondering if any of you know what I can expect to happen, IF, I go to Rite Aid for this Tugaboos deal? Thank you

Melody June 19, 2011 at 9:32 am

The easiest thing you could do is return the diapers and rebuy them today. They should totally let you do that with no problems, especially since you didn’t use any coupons. You can then submit for the $3 rebate with today’s receipts.

If for some reason, they won’t let you do it, I would call RA’s customer service and tell them what happened. They have been very accomodating to me and others and should be able to credit you $3 or okay the rebate in your account.

And don’t feel bad about trying to save $3. Every little bit helps, in the couponing world $3 goes a LONG way!

I had several things like that happen when I first started too -& I would just tell them I did it wrong-and they were very nice about fixing it for me (some incidences were even more complicated than this-yours is very easy to correct).
Another thing to watch out for-read the fine details on the ad-or the price by the product for the +Ups to see if there are limits-sometimes there are & you don’t want to buy more than that or you won’t get the price you were aiming for.

Kristal June 18, 2011 at 6:34 pm

I’m curious can you use someone else’s +UP rewards? My mom has some +UP reward vouchers that are expiring and says that I could have them. I plan on using my +UP reward card though for the points. I’m just curious, are the +UP reward vouchers only usable with your rewards card or can anyone use them?

Reply

Charlie June 18, 2011 at 6:58 pm

You can use any +Ups you want. I just used a friend’s in combination with my wellness card AND my own +Ups, works just fine.

Can I use manufactured coupons from fred Meyers ( u know the orange hanging ones) at right aid? I have some that are $5off nature made

Reply

charolyn June 18, 2011 at 8:01 pm

You would have to check with your store & see what they allow-but somewhere I saw a post that recommended using that coupon-so maybe.

Reply

Christy June 20, 2011 at 10:15 pm

I tried at mine and they would not let me.

I went to Rite Aid today, got the Huggies GoodNights sale price $8.99 (reg. $11.99), watched their funny video values online ad to get the $1.50/1 coupon, used the $2.00/1 coupon from SS (6/12) and watched their other funny video value video about their wellness+ to get an $1 off any non-prescription item. Got my GoodNights for $4.99. I’ve been S.L.O.W.L.Y dipping my foot into the coupon scene but I’ve got to admit it was awesome!

Slow and steady wins the race. And doesn’t make you want to tear your hair out. And doesn’t overwhelm you. Great job!

I live in Washington but am visiting in California where the Rite Aid sale started today, I bught the Fat Foam hair color and used both the the $3.00 off and the $2.00 ad perk and it worked just fine and the store mgr is the one that checked me out. FYI

Since the Stride gum is limit 2 ups ($1/2)-so that would be buying 4=-I would get 4=$4, use the $1/3 coupon + the .50 VV and get $2 in ups=.50/4-great deal!!
I had so much gum for awhile I thought I would never run out-but I actually am-good timing for me!!

Melody June 17, 2011 at 7:26 pm

Aah, that is better math. Angela and I went back and forth on that one last night, I think it was making me a little bleary-eyed. Thanks Charolyn!

No problem-I get to that point myself on deals sometimes & occasionally I just take the leap & buy & see how it works out when it is just too much for me at the time to figure out exactly!! Since you are figuring out all the deals-I’m sure your brain has even more overload!!

There was a May VV q for sunglasses. I think $5/1? Time to find it:-)

Reply

Melody June 17, 2011 at 4:52 pm

Great find! I just checked, it was $5/1 StyleScience sunglasses. Should make for a great deal, depending on price.

Reply

Twin Mom June 17, 2011 at 11:05 pm

If you have kids, the kids’ style science are $7.99. This is especially good with a Wellness discount.

Mary June 17, 2011 at 3:15 pm

For the Samy product there is a $2.00 adperk for this and with the $5.00 up reward that would be $1.01 moneymaker. Thank KCL for this.

Reply

Melody June 17, 2011 at 3:26 pm

I did see that, but it looks like the Ad Perk coupon is not for quite the right product. You can definitely try it, but I’m not 100% sure it will work.

Reply

Carmen M June 17, 2011 at 3:28 pm

The $2 adperk coupon is for hair products (stylers) not for the color. A friend of mine checked with her hubb (mgr at RiteAid in Bellingham area) and he said that only the hair color product would work. But maybe other mgrs would let it slide.

Melody June 17, 2011 at 3:37 pm

I have $3/1 coupons for the Purex detergent. Can I use these with the bogo deal?

Reply

Melody June 17, 2011 at 3:02 pm

Definitely! You can use one coupon per two items on a BOGO sale, but your coupons would make for a great deal.

Reply

Carmen M June 17, 2011 at 3:07 pm

oops, I see that these are for the larger size but I have $1/1 coupons as well, wonering if this would work.

Reply

Vicky June 18, 2011 at 6:38 am

I think if you check your coupon, they are expired.

Reply

Jennifer A June 17, 2011 at 2:02 pm

There is a video values coupon on the Samy Fat Foam Hair color. It is $2/1 so this would actually be a money maker.

Reply

Melody June 17, 2011 at 2:04 pm

I did see that coupon, but it is actually for Fat Hair products. There was a $5/1 Fat Foam VV coupon available for a very short time, which would be a great deal if you watched it! I assumed the Fat Hair coupon wouldn’t work for this particular product since there was a separate VV coupon for it.

I have a question about the Up Rewards. I see you mention “limit” on them of 2 or 4… what do you mean? Is that per wellness card (aka household) or per transaction (can I get more than one Up Reward on multiples of the same item in one transaction)?
I have seen “limit one” before… it never occurred to me I could get, for example, 4 tubes of toothpaste and get a Up Reward 4 times as well.
Thanks!

Reply

Melody June 17, 2011 at 2:03 pm

The limits are per Wellness+ card. With the toothpaste example, you could buy four tubes in one transaction and would receive four +UP Rewards. If you turned around and tried to buy a fifth toothpaste, no reward would print.

The limits are for the week, so you wouldn’t be able to come back the next day and buy more of the same item either. I think this was part of their response to customers concerns about empty shelves.
